  • I am a third-generation Alaskan who has lived a subsistence lifestyle for over 45 years and have been an Alaskan Big Game Guide since 2004.
  • Hunting, fishing, and trapping have always been an integral part of my daily life. Growing up in a remote area and living off the land, I have learned wilderness survival and hunting skills along with a vast knowledge of the region's plants and animals. I love sharing this knowledge with others and strive to make every hunt a unique and enjoyable experience.
  • My Staff and I are dedicated to providing all of our clients with the experience of a lifetime, and we look forward to sharing this beautiful, rugged wilderness of Alaska that we call home.

About this hunt

This is a one-on-one horseback hunt that takes place north of the Arctic Circle on the south side of Alaska's Brooks Range. We use horses, which allows us to cover more ground by crossing rivers and traversing terrain that would be difficult to hunt on foot. Horses also give us the ability to pack a comfortable spike camp into remote locations and, more importantly, pack meat and trophies long distances out of the field. The outfitter will pick you up at the nearest airport, then you'll take a short drive to a jetboat that's waiting to take you to our traditional-style base camp. Once in Base Camp, you can settle into your wall tent, meet your guide and the rest of the crew, sit around a cozy fire, and enjoy a delicious meal prepared by our camp cook. From the base camp, we will either ride the horses on daily excursions or head further into the mountains and set up a spike camp consisting of two tents, a small kitchen, plenty of good food, and an astonishing view of the landscape. Hunting from the spike camp is a combination of glassing, hunting on foot, and taking saddle horses on day trips to cover more ground. THE OUTFITTER WILL TAKE POSSESSION OF THE MEAT UNLESS OTHER ARRANGEMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE BEFORE THE HUNT. BASE PRICE OF $32,000 INCLUDES; PRIMARY SPECIES: MOOSE, GRIZZLY + SECONDARY SPECIES: WOLF, WOLVERINE NON-HUNTER OBSERVER FEE $6,000
