Our company was established in 1988 and operates in 1 territory.
  • Deep Creek Outfitters has always ran our guiding business as a “quality over quantity” operation. When you book a hunt with Deep Creek Outfitters, you will likely be the only hunter in camp. This means that each client typically has multiple guides helping to fill the needs of each client.
  • We also pride ourselves on offering great camp accommodations for every hunt. Our camps typically consist of travel trailers, wall tents, or backcountry camps depending on the clients wants and needs.
  • When you book a hunt with Deep Creek Outfitters, you can be assured that we have scouted hard prior to the hunt to ensure the best chance of harvesting a quality animal. We spend many days in the field running trail cameras and glassing for big game.
  • The bottom line is Deep Creek Outfitters is operated by guys who love to spend time in the mountains. We guide because we enjoy doing it and want to see our clients succeed, not because we need to do it to make a living. The number one priority of all of our guides is to give each client the hunt of a lifetime.

About this hunt

*DRAW ONLY TAGS* Utah general season deer hunts are draw-only hunts meaning you must apply for the hunt during the Utah big game application period (April-May) and draw the tag. No OTC tags are available for mule deer. We guide general season deer hunts in the following units: - Pine Valley - Panguitch - Zion - Southwest Desert - Beaver Non-resident drawing odds vary from 1 point to 8 points depending on the unit and season. We guide all seasons (archery, muzzleloader, and rifle). Pricing: Guide Only Hunts (Hunter provides own lodging & meals) - 5 days (1-on-1): $6,000 - 7 days (1-on-1): $7,000 - 9 days (1-on-1): $8,000 - Extra days ($750 per day) Fully Outfitted Hunts (Includes lodging & meals) - 5 days (1-on-1): $7,500 -7 days (1-on-1): $8,500 - 9 days (1-on-1): $9,500 - Extra days ($1,000 per day) These general season units so the state issues quite a few tags, but the potential is there to harvest a great mule deer buck. Terrain can vary from low desert country to backcountry wilderness areas. Difficulty of the terrain varies from mild to extreme depending on which units we are hunting. You can expect to see quite a few deer per day and generally we see 5-15+ bucks per day. Most of the bucks we have killed are between 150"-170" with the potential for 180"+ bucks. We guide all seasons on these units (archery, muzzleloader, early rifle, late rifle, and limited-entry late muzzleloader). We don’t necessarily have a favorite hunt because they can all produce some solid bucks. Camps can vary from trailer camping to backcountry camps with horses or pack llamas. We are happy to accommodate to the clients wants/needs.

Pine Valley Hunting Camp

Camp accommodations can vary depending on the clients desire and needs. On hunts close to roads we typically have travel trailers and/or wall-tents and use trucks/ATV’s. Although these are “road hunts” we recommend being in good shape because a lot of hiking can be needed to avoid other hunters. We also try to utilize the horses to access remote areas whenever it is feasible. When hunting the backcountry, we use horse/mules/llamas to pack-in lightweight tents or wall tents. The backcountry hunts require a lot of hiking in steep terrain, so we recommend being in good physical condition to increase your odds of being successful.
