I have hunted with ESC on many occasions. The host knows the ground well and knows how the deer behave throughout the year and in varying weather conditions. On every occasion my host has found trophy grade animals during the hunt and often more than one during a morning and evening.

Excellent two days of action packed stalking.

From the original communications to the farewell, Oliver was a professional guide, superb host and great company. I booked two days with them as the location and price looked ideal: as someone who is new to hunting this year (a few stalks, just done DSC1) I wanted to gain some experience on a few stalks over two days. This trip delivered everything I hoped for and some things I hadn't even considered. The woodland location was beautiful; seeing the sunrise on the second day as we stalked across the lightly frosted ground, listening to the barks of muntjac was an incredible experience. Since zero'ing the rifle on the first morning we'd seen plenty of deer - roe and muntjac with some wonderful roe bucks (out of season of course) within 50 yards. We had many encounters with deer which was what I was hoping for; the chance to watch them through binoculars, by eye, to hear them, and observe their behaviour. Oliver was superb at getting us to the deer, and just as importantly for me, explaining the process behind it. As the second day was drawing to a close I had yet to connect with a deer but after my excitement on day one I was already reflecting on the great experiences I'd had so far, and that if I went home without a deer I was already happy to have had the chance to see and hear so much, and to practise stalking up to deer on several occasions. The learning outcome was already invaluable. However, as the sun was preparing to slip behind the hills Oliver suggested one more stake out in the woods. We set up in a promising looking ride to patiently wait for a roe doe that might come out before sunset. Twenty minutes later, nothing. Then some movement, and a lovey doe stepped out into the ride. Broadside on, maybe just 60-70 yards out, I made the shot and was delighted to see her drop right away. I really liked the efficient field graloch demonstrated by Oliver, which lead to an interesting chat about keeping it simple. I now had a fantastic conditioned deer for the freezer which I had hoped for but of course you can't guarantee; so yes you could say I was over the moon! This was an action packed couple of days. The location was ideal - plenty of deer, but Oliver's knowledge and fieldcraft, and professional approach but with plenty of good chatter really made this a special experience.

There wasn't one moment of this experience when I wasn't having a good time.

Oliver has a top notch operation. Oliver knows the area and the deer and woods he hunts. the equipment is top notch. Oliver is a down to earth professional hunter ( game stalker ). we seen three bucks in 3 stalks ( hunts ). very pleased and i'll be going again fer sure.

Absolutely recommended.

A true professional

Oliver was a great teacher and hunting guide, talking me through every bit of the process and answering all my questions along the way. Even though we saw a fair few does (and one buck!) we couldn’t make a safe shot on the day, but that hasn’t taken away from the fantastic experience at all! It just proves how seriously Oliver takes his job, taking into account animal welfare, the safety of the hunter and others in the surrounding area, as well as ensuring the hunt doesn’t turn into hours of tracking wounded animals down. I’ll be back soon to give it another go...

My son and i went for a hunt with oliver. It was an amazing experience for us both. We saw the beautiful countryside of cotswold and wildlife (fox, owl, deer, fesant, patrich, ...) and oliver was open in his information/respect for the wildlife and what it takes to be a hunter. My 12 year old son was very well integrated in the hunt. A new generation of hunter is born. I can recommend oliver to anyone. We will be back! Thanks oliver from sébastien and me

First time stalking

I really enjoyed all parts of my hunt, zero-ing the rifle and the hunts. Stalking roe deer was a great experience, we got very close to some of them and watched as they traveled or grazed. Oliver has a lot of knowledge of the area and the animals there, he was very good at getting us close to the animals so we could get better views or take the shot.This hunt was great for me I learned a lot of things to try and will be back eventually. Highly recommend booking a hunt and getting out there.

2 days - excellent experience

Having completed the two day course, with Oliver, I can highly recommend him as a guide and an instructor. This course was exactly what I’ve been searching for. The training was hands on and relevant, all my questions were answered succinctly and further elaboration was offered. The area is outstanding and we were treated to some awesome sights. We had plenty of encounters over the two days, including a pair of deer mating, a pair of deer rutting and as the light faded we saw a large heard of the mythical Fallow just on the tree line of a not too distant wood. The equipment was top notch and I was fortunate enough to go home with a cooler full of high quality dinners, that will keep me going for a while. I would definitely return to learn more from Oliver. As a teacher myself I recognise deep knowledge that has been earned through years of experience and the skill and passion that it takes to impart that information and wisdom on to others. Oliver has the skills and passion in abundance!

It was unbearably hot on the 2 days we stalked, but that was way outside anyone’s control. I never heard a single complaint from Oliver though, he just got his head down and soldiered through it like it was nothing!

We had a brilliant day,the knowledge Oliver passes on is second to non,Oliver will do his upmost to get you into position for a shot and he did exactly that! But don’t think you can’t work for it! You’ve got to put an equal amount of effort in to really make sure you get the most out of the day

What a fantastic experience and I’m now hooked it to the world of deer stalking! Oliver is a great tutor and extremely knowledgeable, from improving my shooting and learning about deer stalking and all that goes with it I thoroughly enjoyed myself and I highly recommend Tusk and Antler!

Memories that will last a lifetime

This hunt was a present for my husband’s birthday as it was his dream for a while to go hunting. It was the best present he could have wished for. He was over the moon especially after meeting Oliver. Oliver is extremely knowledgeable about hunting and on the first day he was teaching my husband how and where to shoot, on the second day they went in the woods hunting. My husband managed to hunt a doe with Oliver’s support. My husband said it was the best weekend that he will remember for the rest of his life, Oliver is an amazing, experienced, professional, kind and funny hunter and I will buy this experience for my husband again. Oliver, the guide was absolutely phenomenal. He was very professional and you could tell he really knew what he was doing.

Good Experience with Good Company

Mr. Power is very dedicated person not only to the profession of hunting, but to his clients' experience as well. With experience of over 30 years, you can't any better than this. Prior to the hunt, he answered every silly question I had kindly, and provided with everything I would need. Here is some advices from my experience: 1. Get boots (hunting fields are very muddy). 2. Take Baseball Cap w/ you (you want to camouflage your head from deer). 3. Get black or preferably camouflaged jacket (again dear can sense from long distance and you want to blend with nature as possible). 4. Be quite (again dear senses are high).

I was talkative spooking and distracting ourselves from the hunt. Nothing I didn't like about Mr.Power really.
