New Zealand Red Stag paradise

We visited Gerald on the second week of their season and you could tell immediately that he and his crew had spent weeks / years knowing the game on Maude Mountian. Their knowledge of the game and deep connection in the community was clearly evident. The accommodations were outstanding! Had no idea we would be staying in a 2.5 million dollar lake house! Fully equipped with drinks and eats along with an amazing Inn Keeper, Bev! The game was plentiful and expert guides tailored each hunt to the individual perfectly. 100% success rate provided your aim is good.

Easily the fact that it was over in a week. If you take the time to hunt with Gerald and his crew I highly recommend booking an RV or something for a few more weeks to fully take in this beautiful country.

I've been hunting for years and many places. This was without a doubt an incredible location and hunting experience.

There was nothing I didn't like. The country, the accommodations, the staff, and especially the game.

Trip of a lifetime!

Our experience with Telford Hunting & New Zealand was amazing. We couldn’t have asked for more & our lodging couldn’t have been better. We had a house host that took excellent care of us & provided delicious NZ dishes for our meals, as well as an acting travel guide when needed. The hunting guides were excellent & trophies taken were beyond expectations. We were extremely impressed. It was the trip of a lifetime!

Extremely professional well run outfit. Expectations for the hunt were met and exceeded. The guides were extremely knowledgeable and delivered on what we were looking for in a New Zealand hunt. I would not hesitate to recommend Gerald to any of my friends, just as he was recommended to me!

2023 Stag Fallow hunt

The views were unreal, the guide taking us through great hikes and ideal areas for Glassing the hills, so many animals to see. The accommodations were so nice and the home cooked meals such a treat. The hunting was amazing. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

I loved everything about the hunt. And looking to return at soon point.

Awesome hunting experience in New Zealand

I liked the layout of the hunting land. Spotting and stalking mixed with some stand/blind hunting. Something for all levels of conditioning and experience. Plenty of game to keep it very interesting.

I probably picked a bad time to go as it was towards the end of the hunting season. Lots of game to see but hard to get close.

Excellent hunting experience

The quality and abundance of game in some beautiful and challenging terrain, excellent service from Gerald, Duncan, and Ruth (top notch, professional, and personable) and amazing accommodation in Lake Hawea close to the hunting grounds of Mt. Maude. To say this was a trip of a lifetime is an understatement, my friend and I got exactly what we were hoping for from the experience in terms hunting some challenging terrain, putting on a few good miles on foot, and shooting some amazing animals. I personally couldn’t be happier with the hunt and would recommend Gerald and team as an outfit for a New Zealand hunt any day.
