I took my bear the first day which was awesome. The only problem was that I was there the rest of the week with little to do. Use of a fishing pole would have helped.

The experience. Tree stand hunting and the camaraderie of the group. Food was good and guides instructions were awesome.

It was everything he said it to be.... 30 flushes on Woodcock and 5 flushes on Grouse every day. The land you hunt is thick with under growth, but that is where the birds are.

The Champagne family made you feel at home, with all home cooked meals and family talk at the dinner table.

Yvon and Philip are excellent guides. You arrive as clients and leave as friends. They do everything possible to put you on bear. The accomodations are great and the food is indescribably delicious. We are going back next Spring for the third time and taking friends with us. We can't say enough positive things about them!

Excellent Spring Bear Hunt Experience

I wanted to take my 16 year old son on his first out of state hunt for his birthday. I also invited my father along on the trip as well. Yvonne was very helpful from the first time I contacted him and helped me through all the preparations for the hunt. We hunted the next to last week of the season and it was a GREAT time! I was with my son when he took his bear with a bow the second night. Yvonne put me in another stand to hunt the remainder of the week. My dad and I both took bears the last evening of the hunt. We enjoyed ourselves very much. The accommodations and food were excellent and everything was better than expected I expected. I would (and I have recommended this hunt to other guys that were looking) for a Spring Black Bear hunt. One tip for any one thinking of hunting with Yvonne; either take your own climbing stand or prepare yourself to hunt with a stand he has to give yourself the best options at any of the baits he places you at.

I liked the personal attention I received throughout the entire hunt and accommodation experience. I am a novice big game hunter, but with the help of Yvon and his son I felt confident in the hunt and was able to kill a 308 pound black bear. I also have dietary restrictions and they were overwhelmingly accommodating for my needs.
I left 5 pounds heavier from all the food that was provided to us.

Awesome hunt for Black Bear!

Yvonne was very helpful and professional. It was the first time bear hunting for my 16 year old son and my Dad. They enjoyed it very much! We all took bear with bows that week. Everyone in camp either tagged out or had a shot at a bear. The accommodations and food were EXCELLENT! Yvonne did everything in his power to put us onto bear. One suggestion, take a climbing stand along if possible to customize your tree location to your liking, if not, Yvonne has some to use as well. We also took ATV's along and after we were had our bear, we enjoyed going along to take other hunters out as well as ride along while they baited.
Fishing in the area is not that good, but I didn't go to fish.

The food was amazing. The bear were running like crazy. Out of 13 guys with us in camp. 11 should have had bear. Misses and unfounded hits only reason. The bear are definitely there. Great value and accommodations for the price.

I have hunted black bears with Yvon and Phillip 9 times over the last 12 years. I promise you will not meet harder working guides, they hunt a lot of active baits and will do everything they can to put you on the bears. This hunt is afternoons only which gives you time to relax and enjoy the overall experience. Both Yvon and Phillip have an awesome sense of humor, so be prepared to have fun and laugh a lot. You will also gain a few pounds, the food is out of this world. I would recommend this experience to everyone. It's a family friendly atmosphere so don't hesitate to bring your spouse or kids. I will be hunting there again in 2019 with my son. Trust me you won't be disappointed.
