This place is amazing! The professional hunters are awesome and do everything to help you get the perfect animal! The lodge and the meals make this the perfect trip alone. All of the staff there goes out of their way to make this a memorable trip! I can not wait to return!

Amazing Safari and Value

I went on this safari with my wife, and we both had an amazing safari experience. The food was incredible, the staff was very friendly and the PH and trackers were a pleaseure to hunt with! I was very impressed with the quality and quantity of game we saw. The accommodations were top notch. They also offer many photo safari options, which we took full advantage of. Overall, I would highly recommend this outfitter, and I plan to return on a family trip with my kids.

Extraordinary Experience

From airport pick up to drop off on our last day, it was a perfect experience. As someone bowhunting during South Africa's summer (not the ideal season for it!), I was blown away by how hard my PH worked to get me phenomenal animals. The lodge was beautiful and every meal was beautiful and delicious. Staff was exceptionally attentive and accommodating. My non-hunting guest LOVED the photo safaris and tours, along with lounging by the pool with a drink from the awesome bartenders. I will 100% be booking with this outfitter again and would recommend them to any hunter.

Quality hunt in the Limpopo Bushveld

Leopard Lodge is a beautiful 5 Star Lodge in a wonderful setting. The staff are wonderful and really look after you well. The food is fantastic. The hunting Safari Operator and our PH were highly skilled and real professionals. They made our hunt smooth and very successful. Hunting with Matswani was an awesome experience and the observers had a great time too. I highly recommend Matswani and Leopard Lodge.

The Big 5 game drives were a bit disappointing. It would be good if the guides had a better understanding of where the big game is.

Everything about Matswani was ideal for a first time hunter to South Africa. The cost was reasonable, the transportation to and from the airport was appreciated and well done, the lodge was very nice, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The food that was served was delicious and more than plentiful. I can't say enough about our PH and Tracker, they were both very professional and knowledgeable about the animal species hunted. Herman was a pleasure to hunt with and worked hard to ensure that I was able to harvest trophy quality animals on my list. Both my wife and I had a wonderful time...great job!

As a first time bowhunter I couldn’t ask more from Matswani. The PH was very knowledgeable and put in the effort to make sure you had a quality hunt. Also the accommodation was excellent.

Matswani's facilities, people, and service were top notch! My wife and I had such a wonderful time. I can't imagine how our trip could have been better. The VALUE we got from Matswani was unbelievable. My wife isn't a hunter and she was able to enjoy not only the Leopard Lodge but also the game reserve every day. The food was out of this world, and the Matswani team was so accommodating! My PH got us on game every day, and I had lots of shot opportunities. My PH went out of his way to make sure we were successful, and with every animal he spent lots of time taking great photos. He even ran my video camera for me and recorded every shot.

I didn't like that I had to leave... We didn't get on a big shooter kudu or warthog like I wanted, but that's hunting. I took six amazing animals, and I have a lifetime of pictures, videos, and memories.

Food was great, rooms were very nice, great assortment of animals to hunt at reasonable prices, friendly and accommodating staff. Will bring my son and nephews to hunt some big game.

Not open range but I don't believe that exists anywhere in South Africa anymore.

Best Trip Ever

My girlfriend and I went for 8 nights and 9 days and were treated like royalty. The staff were all very warm and welcoming and I was able to take all 4 animals I went to hunt. I would recommend this place and the hunt to anyone; we absolutely loved it. There was plenty for her to do while I was out hunting also. We cannot wait to come back to Matswani.

Game, staff, food, accommodation, all wonderful

I really enjoyed that the photo safari side of this lodge was available at no additional cost. My son and I utilized that many times. The hunting grounds varied in size up to 25000ac, we always saw game and almost always multiple species. The PH was very accommodating to what we wanted to get out of our hunt, and we were successful in harvesting every animal we came for and a few more on top of that. The staff, food, drinks, all were great.
