Leopard hunting in Zambia
We found 3 hunts
Leopards can be one of the most frustrating animals to hunt, as you need to lure them to you rather than pursue them like most other animals. They are shy, nocturnal creatures with an acute sense of hearing and smell, often detecting any movement and scent from a hunter hidden in a blind. Most leopards are hunted over bait.
Zambia offers some of Africa’s finest leopard hunting where they can be hunted country-wide. However, the country's main hotspot Leopard hunting area is the Luangwa Valley.
Leopards are locally known as “Mr Spots.” No Leopard hunting may occur at night and may only be hunted half an hour after sunrise and half an hour before sunset. Most Leopards are taken over bait and hunted from a blind.
Only mature “Tom” cats may be hunted. Classified as vulnerable by the IUCN, CITES permits and a prearranged license are required before the commencement of your hunt.
