- Ira is a true houndsman through and through. His entire life is dedicated to training and caring for his dogs.
- From as early as ten years old, he knew he wanted to be an outfitter. Ira has over 10-years of experience as a licensed guide, Outfitter and Master Guide for various big game animals in Idaho, Arizona, Wyoming and Nevada.
- However his true passion has always been mountain lion hunting. He has spent over fifteen years working on his bloodlines to have the fastest, cold-nosed, and well tempered hounds possible. All genetics go back to dry ground dogs from the southwest. For Ira, the drive comes from nurturing a young pup and working with him to come into his own and eventually catching his own lion.
About this hunt
We offer all-inclusive, year-round mountain lion hunts. These hunts start in the early morning looking for tracks, once we find a fresh one, we let the dogs go and try to cut the cat off. These are high adrenaline hunts that make for a memorable experience. Nevada is more moderate country to hunt in than most other western states, but we do ask that our clients come in good physical condition. There will most likely be hiking involved (on average a mile), we hunt in high elevations, starting at 6,500ft up to 9000ft. Lions travel long distances, and to keep up, we like to stay mobile. Due to this, lodging accommodations may vary. Primarily you may expect to stay in a cabin in the Eureka area. Alternatively, we may stay in a motel or wall tent camp in the warmer months.
Lion hunts start early in the morning, running some of our pre-scouted roads. Once we cut a track, the dogs are released, and the race is on. The terrain is moderate compared to other states, but hiking in mountainous areas is still required.

Where you will stay
Wall Tents and Cabin
Nice weather hunts will most likely be conducted from our wall tent camp, winter hunts will be conducted from our cabins located in Eureka, Nevada. We like to keep our ratios one guide to one hunter. We can accommodate up to two hunters with advanced notice. WiFi and electricity will be available at the Eureka cabin location. Meals will be provided to all hunters.

All hunts require a $1,000 non-refundable deposit to reserve your hunt dates. Please reach out to us regarding available dates. If you are wanting to book a last minute hunt, feel free to reach out to us about availability and we will see what we can do! We do accept all major credit cards through the use of SQUARE, please keep in mind that there is a 3.3% surcharge for the use of credit or debit cards. Other payment options include: Cash, Checks, Venmo, or PayPal. **RECOMMENDED** Ordering your tags ONLINE We highly recommend ordering your tags online ahead of time.
