About this hunt

The Chamois is a bovine animal that looks like a goat. Males and females have small black curved horns. Males are larger than females, and their horns reach greater size and thickness. The chamois is a characteristic animal of the high mountains. In summer it likes to use tall grasslands, cliffs and steep places where it feeds on grasses and other herbaceous plants. In winter, it descends to wooded areas or areas with abundant trees and bushes, browsing leaves and buds and even soft woody stems. Of all the ungulates it is one of the most active during the day, only in the hottest summer months does it limit its activity to the first and last hours of the day, spending the central stretch resting on the cooler slopes facing north. It is an animal perfectly adapted to high mountain conditions, for this it has interdigital membranes, which increase the support surface on the snow, and legendary balance and ease of climbing. In summer it usually forms large groups of goats in which females with babies and males form separate groups. In winter, however, the groups disperse or become less numerous, especially those of males. When she notices danger or is scared, the female emits a very characteristic whistle that alerts the goat. The heat takes place around the month of November, then the males become aggressive and chase each other insistently, to defend a harem and try to cover the greatest number of females.

An elegant building with a striking 18th century cloister and classicist style, combined perfectly with the modernist decoration of the hotel.
