More about us
Our company was established in 1988 and operates in 2 territories.
- Deep Creek Outfitters has always ran our guiding business as a “quality over quantity” operation. When you book a hunt with Deep Creek Outfitters, you will likely be the only hunter in camp. This means that each client typically has multiple guides helping to fill the needs of each client.
- We also pride ourselves on offering great camp accommodations for every hunt. Our camps typically consist of travel trailers, wall tents, or backcountry camps depending on the clients wants and needs.
- When you book a hunt with Deep Creek Outfitters, you can be assured that we have scouted hard prior to the hunt to ensure the best chance of harvesting a quality animal. We spend many days in the field running trail cameras and glassing for big game.
- The bottom line is Deep Creek Outfitters is operated by guys who love to spend time in the mountains. We guide because we enjoy doing it and want to see our clients succeed, not because we need to do it to make a living. The number one priority of all of our guides is to give each client the hunt of a lifetime.
About this hunt
*DRAW ONLY TAGS*
Deep Creek Outfitters offers guided mule deer hunts primarily in the southeastern portion of Nevada. Each of the units we guide in have the potential to produce 190″+ bucks. Nevada issues a low number of tags, so it can take many years to draw a tag… but once you draw a tag you have a good chance of killing a giant buck. All of the units in southern Nevada are very dry and typically have low deer numbers, so pre-season scouting is critical to finding a big buck.
Depending on the unit and the client’s needs, camp accommodations may consist of travel trailers, wall tents, or backcountry camps. We guide mule deer archery (Aug. 10 – Sept. 9), muzzleloader (Sept. 10 – Oct. 4), and rifle (October – November) hunts in the following units:
241-245
231
221-223
131-134
271, 272
251-254
261-268
-Guide Draw-
Nevada has a special “guided only draw” for non-resident applicants applying for rifle mule deer hunts with a guide. Typically, your odds of drawing a rifle deer tag are 2x-4x better in the guide draw compared to the regular draw. If you are planning to use a guide to rifle hunt mule deer, we recommend applying with us in the special guide draw to increase your odds of drawing a rifle deer tag. The guide draw does not apply to archery or muzzleloader seasons.
*Nevada does not offer OTC tags and is a draw-only state. You must apply and draw a mule deer tag before hunting (with the exception of landowner permits that can be purchased). To get an idea of your drawing odds, here is a link to past drawing statistics:
