More about us
Our company was established in 1988 and operates in 2 territories.
- Deep Creek Outfitters has always ran our guiding business as a “quality over quantity” operation. When you book a hunt with Deep Creek Outfitters, you will likely be the only hunter in camp. This means that each client typically has multiple guides helping to fill the needs of each client.
- We also pride ourselves on offering great camp accommodations for every hunt. Our camps typically consist of travel trailers, wall tents, or backcountry camps depending on the clients wants and needs.
- When you book a hunt with Deep Creek Outfitters, you can be assured that we have scouted hard prior to the hunt to ensure the best chance of harvesting a quality animal. We spend many days in the field running trail cameras and glassing for big game.
- The bottom line is Deep Creek Outfitters is operated by guys who love to spend time in the mountains. We guide because we enjoy doing it and want to see our clients succeed, not because we need to do it to make a living. The number one priority of all of our guides is to give each client the hunt of a lifetime.
About this hunt
We have been guiding lion hunts for many years in Utah, Nevada, and Arizona. We have some great hound dogs that have a ton of experience. Hunt conditions may range from 1′ of snow to dusty dry ground. We typically offer a 5-day hunt but will customize the hunt to fit clients wants and needs. We can also give a discount for groups of 2+ hunters. Transportation during the hunt may consist of trucks, UTV’s, or horseback.
Most of these hunts are based out of our property in Nevada near the Utah border (30 minutes west of Enterprise, UT). The hunting camp has a small lodge, bunk rooms, shower, internet, TV, etc.. Because it gets dark so early and there is a lot of down time, we try to make camp as comfortable as possible. From our camp we are able to hunt any surrounding areas in Nevada and Utah. Occasionally we may used a mobile camp based out of travel trailers and possibly wall tents. We will also provide all the food and beverages (non-alcoholic) during the hunt.
We typically hunt lions in the southeast corner of Nevada in the following units: 241, 231, 221, 271, etc...
In Utah the units we offer guided hunts in: Pine Valley, Southwest Desert, Zion, Beaver
