Elefant in Simbabwe jagen

Elephants are the world’s largest terrestrial mammals and need no introduction. These giants spend over 16 hours a day feeding and in search of food. Although the popular press makes this species out as endangered, the reality in Zimbabwe is that the country is bursting at the seams with Elephants. Elephants occur in large numbers along the Zambezi River catchment, western areas surrounding Hwange National Park and southeastern Zimbabwe. The majority of Elephants hunted in Zimbabwe are good representatives of the species. Numerous Elephants are hunted on community land with all proceeds from the hunt going to the local people. Tuskless Elephants may also be hunted in Zimbabwe as well as non-exportable specimens. The Zimbabwe hunting concessions in the corridor between Gonarezhou National Park and Kruger National Park consistently produce some of the largest tuskers in Africa each hunting season. Elephants are classified as an endangered species by the IUCN, CITES permits will be required for this hunt. Hunting bans and closures often happen at short notice with these pachyderms, so ensure you keep yourself up to date with the ever-changing regulations.
