Whether you are a seasoned international hunter or just looking for your first international hunting experience, this South Pacific nation is an ideal destination. A hunt in New Zealand is easy to plan, and it is a safe and welcoming country. Because it is stable and friendly, New Zealand is also a perfect place to include your spouse or family in your adventure. New Zealand offers very diverse terrain that accommodates the desires or physical limitations of all hunters. Hunts can be conducted from the comfort of a five-star lodge with a swimming pool and spa, or from a tented spike camp in the wilderness. The easily accessible lush and grassy lowlands are home to estate hunts which can be accessed via trucks or ATVs. This is often a good option if a companion chooses to stay in the lodge and enjoy the amenities or do some touring. Hunters may also choose remote wilderness hunts in the high alpine ruggedness of the Southern Alps, which are accessed mainly by hiking or helicopter. These are more physical hunts with thick brush and steeper terrain. You can also choose a combination of both. A large selection of game awaits the hunter visiting New Zealand. The majestic red stag is always a favorite for hunters and usually the focus of the hunt. The Himalayan tahr is another of the pinnacle species in New Zealand and can be very challenging to hunt in the steep, rugged terrain where they live. Other species include the handsome fallow deer, chamois, and many other varieties of deer, goats, sheep, and even water buffalo. Again, this selection offers choices to fit every hunter’s tastes and capabilities. All of New Zealand is picturesque, with many locations combining coastal beaches transitioning up to majestic rocky peaks, making this a photographer’s dream. Touring is easily incorporated with a hunt and can include historic sites, glacier hikes, scenic train rides, paragliding, hiking, and helicopter scenic trips. New Zealand makes for a complete hunting vacation adventure that will be sure to please all tastes.

Flights are readily available into New Zealand from most countries. Entry into the country is easy and the authorities are friendly and make the process very comfortable. Visitors from a long list of visa waiver countries don’t need to apply in advance for a visa for a stay of three months or less in New Zealand—a visa will be issued on arrival. After clearing immigration you’ll pick up your baggage from the carousel. If you have brought your own firearm, you must declare it to Customs, who will refer you to the New Zealand police. They will check your passport and other paperwork, collect the $25 license application fee (you will have to change currency in the arrivals area since this fee must be paid in New Zealand currency), and issue your firearms permit and import license. Be sure your hunting boots are clean; as an agricultural island nation New Zealand is extremely careful not to allow the import of foreign soils or nematodes.

Dies ist eine weithin akzeptierte Praxis in einigen Gebieten der Südinsel. In anderen Gebieten werden die Jagden jedoch ausschließlich zu Fuß ausgeführt. Jäger, die den Bergwildarten nachgehen, sollten sich bewusst sein, dass das Gelände extrem robust, steil und herausfordernd ist.

Präparation
Sobald Ihre Jagd abgeschlossen ist, werden Ihre Trophäen normalerweise zu einem lokalen Präparator transportiert, um sie für den Export vorzubereiten. In einigen Fällen können Sie, wenn es die Zeit erlaubt, Ihre Trophäen direkt mit nach Hause nehmen, aber in den meisten Fällen werden sie Ihnen in Ihr Land, an den Präparator Ihrer Wahl, geliefert. Meat hunt for Red & Fallow deer and Goat Neuseeland
We offer genuine free range wild meat hunts for Red deer, Fallow deer, South Pacific Goat, also cull stags and bucks at guides discretion on their rugged picturesque country. There are no charges for the Trophies harvested, all you pay is your daily rate. Minimum 3 day hunt. Our hunting/guide ratio is 2:1. Genuinely wild and free range, authentic New Zealand hunting experience. There are no high wire fences and no farm released genetics. Your hunt will be fully catered to your level of fitness and experience, and the guides are fully committed to providing you the best adventure possible. You can bring your own legal firearms, however you are most welcome to use our fit for purpose, accurate firearms. The cost for one or two hunters is $1150 (ie one guide) then each hunter after that is $575 each. Meat hunts can be booked all year round. The Roar usually takes place from late March until late April. We continue to trophy hunt until August, at which point the large stags are near to casting their antlers. The Roar or the Rut is the best time to hunt Deer in NZ, being the mating season when species such as Red, Sika and Fallow Deer become quite vocal and therefore are easier to locate. The Red Deer begin to rut during late March and through April, with the Sika Stags and Fallow Bucks beginning in April and continuing through May. Although the rut is the most popular time to hunt, very often the period after is just as productive. If you want to hunt wild boar or goats, the time of the year is not critical, good trophies can be taken all year round. Your guide will cape and salt your trophies. Mounting can be arranged here in New Zealand and you may have your trophies dispatched freight forward by air freight to your specified destination. The Taxidermist will complete all necessary documentation and bill you directly. Please inquire for available dates.

Pheasant Shoot Neuseeland
The Common Pheasant was introduced from Britain in 1842, and the most successful in our area in 1868. Shooting is also available in our area from April- August on a neighbouring game preserve with high bag limit and some chuker and quail. A must for the avid upland game shooter during the course of your hunt.
