About this hunt
Our area is in Unit 13 in central Alaska. Just outside of the famous Denali National Park on the Denali Highway. This hunt is for the hunter who wants a little more comfort and a physically easier hunt. This hunt can be accomplished by those who are disabled, have minor health issues, or are just too on in years for the spot and stalk hunts on the tundra of Alaska. You will arrive in Anchorage, Alaska with the required gear list. A representative of Big Alaska Outdoors LLC will pick you up from your hotel. From Anchorage you will make the long drive North to Cantwell, passing through Denali state park and many quaint Alaskan towns. From Cantwell you will turn East and follow the famous Denali Highway almost 70 miles to Alpine Creek Lodge. Alpine Creek Lodge has all the amenities of home. A hunter can expect to have their own room or be sharing a cabin with one other hunter while on the hunt. Nice comfortable single or queen beds, hot showers, 3 hot meals a day, wifi, a bar on site, satellite TV, and plenty of other activities that the lodge offers. Should you get your bear you can inquire with them on day trips of gold panning, fishing, wildlife viewing, etc. You will enjoy an 8-day hunt. This is flexible being on the road system. We can get a hunter out of the field as soon as they harvest or even after a few days of relaxing at the lodge if desired. During this time of the year the grizzly bears are just finishing targeting freshly born moose calves and the breeding season is really kicking off in full swing. Grizzlies are constantly moving during trying to locate food and a mate, and our baits are on major travel routes trying to get a bear passing through to stop and stay.
