About this hunt

Do you need a Marble Mountains elk hunting guide? Are you one of the lucky few who drew one of the Marble Mountains Roosevelt elk tags? Or maybe you have quite a few points and are expecting to draw in the future. You’re in for a hunt of a lifetime, but are you prepared? Everything about the Marble Mountains bull elk hunts are big. Their bodies, antlers, the mountains… We know where the bulls are and can get you and your elk out. The Marble Mountains zone is huge but we focus our effort on the Marble Mountains and Trinity Alps Wilderness areas and the surrounding National Forest lands. This is a very special tag and we know how much it means. We spend countless hours scouting for bulls so that you can be in the perfect spot once the season finally arrives. We use llamas to pack in a comfortable camp for the hunters and non-hunting guests who are there to share the experience. Bulls can weigh upwards of 1,000 pounds and llamas are also used to pack meat and trophies. 2022 Season Hunt Dates: 2023 is not set yet but it should be similar Apprentice Either-sex (Hunt Code 408): September 7-18 Antlerless (Hunt Code 301): September 7-18 Bull (Hunt Code 302): September 7 -18 Muzzleloader/Archery (Hunt Code 303): October 29 – November 6 *Deer and bear season overlaps at the beginning and tail end of the elk season. Backcountry Camps

Backcountry camps are in comfortable vehicle accessible locations in the National Forest. This is your classic hunting style camp. We utilize dispersed camping areas along the many beautiful rivers and creeks in the area. Scenery and privacy is unbeatable. We setup camps before the guest arrives based on pre-season scouting. We like to be in the best location to access the desired species. Sleeping arrangements are tent, cot, sleeping pad, sleeping bag, and pillow. Tent heaters are used depending on time of the year and weather. Some camps have pit toilets, most do not.
