Hunting Lodge

The hunting lodge offers luxury accommodation with fantastic views and is the only hunting lodge in New Zealand to be positioned looking out towards the Pacific Ocean and surrounding bush clad mountains. Imagine sitting out on the deck looking up to the hunting area and spotting magnificent trophies of Red Stag, Elk and Fallow deer and at the same time, looking out over the ocean at huge pods of dolphins! Each luxury king size bedroom has its own heated marbled floor bathroom. In 2009 we added a “Guest Lodge” which also has luxury, king size bedrooms, superior bathrooms and each room has a private lounge area to relax in. A small well stocked refrigerator in each room and a shared guest laundry The large lounge area in the main lodge has a magnificent river stone fireplace where guests can relax beside the fire and sample the best wines from the region.

The hunt was amazing, scenery was break-taking and hospitality out of this world. If I was recommending a hunt this is my top recommendation.

Really there was nothin to not like. We had rough weather but managed to take giant stag and the tar hunt was top of the line.
