More about us

Our company was established in 1946 and operates in 1 territory.
  • Stoney Point Lodge has been a hunting destination since the 1940s — making it one of the oldest continuously operating hunting properties in America. When Marc Hightower acquired the operation, he inherited over half a century of land history and built on it, introducing the strongest purebred New Zealand Red Stag genetics in the United States and elevating the experience to what it is today. Eight decades of tradition on 2,500 acres of Ozark Mountains ground. No outfitter in America can tell that story.
  • 100% Purebred New Zealand Genetics — The Gold Standard
  • Not all red stag operations are equal. Many American outfitters run Yugoslavian or mixed European bloodlines. Every animal here are 100% New Zealand genetics — the gold standard for trophy red stag anywhere in the world. Massive frames, heavy tines, and the scoring potential that defines a true record-class animal. In fact, outfitters across the country source from us to improve their own herds. Here, you hunt the source.
  • SCI Record Book Results
  • Multiple stags from us are already ranked in the SCI record books, with several poised to challenge for the top spot. The genetics are here. The management is here. The results speak for themselves.
  • No Harvest, No Pay — We Back It Up
  • If you don't take a shot, you don't owe us a dollar. That's how confident we are in this herd and this operation.
  • One-on-One Guided. All-Inclusive. No Shortcuts.
  • Every hunt is fully guided one-on-one across 2,500 acres of Ozark ridge country, hardwood draws, and spring-fed valleys. Lodging, home-cooked meals, licenses, field care, and game prep are all included. Rifle, bow, muzzleloader, or crossbow — your hunt, your way, with fair-chase ethics at the core of everything we do.
  • Stoney Point Lodge — Five Stars in the Heart of Hunting Country
  • When the day is done, you come back to something worth coming back to. Five private guest rooms, a three-bedroom guest house, home-cooked meals prepared from scratch daily, a 40-acre stocked lake, a 1,200+ yard shooting range, and a stone fireplace where the stories get better every night. This is the hunt — and everything around it.
  • Built for Every Hunter
  • Whether it's your first shoulder mount or another entry in the SCI record books, our guides build the hunt around you. They're hunters who live this life year-round. They share not just the pursuit but the knowledge behind how we manage this land — so you leave with more than a trophy.

About this hunt

Every hunt is designed to be all-inclusive so you can focus on the experience, not the details. Each package covers three full days of guided hunting, complete with lodging at Stoney Point Lodge and meals made from scratch—including desserts that our guests still talk about long after the hunt. All licenses and tags are included, and when the hunt is over, we take care of mount prep, meat processing prep, and cooler loading so you’re ready to head home. You’re welcome to hunt with whatever weapon you prefer—rifle, bow, crossbow, shotgun, pistol, or muzzleloader. We also keep things simple and fair: No Harvest, No Pay. If you don’t take a shot at an animal, you don’t owe a thing. To secure your hunt dates, a $1,000 deposit is required per hunter. Non-hunting guests are welcome at a rate of $250 per day, and children under ten can stay free when they’re not hunting. Please reach out to us with any questions! We look forward to talking with you.

Where you will hunt

Territory

The Ozarks have always demanded grit. From the early hunters who lived off this ground to the modern sportsmen who test themselves against it today, this country has a way of shaping both the animals and the people who walk it. That rugged heritage is the backbone of The Hunting Grounds. Our Stoney Point Lodge was the first established red deer outfitter in America and it spans across 2,500 acres of ridges, hardwood draws, and spring-fed valleys. We’ve built a system of land and herd management that produces some of the finest red stag, whitetail, and elk you’ll find anywhere. New Zealand red stag bloodlines thrive here in the Ozarks, whitetails are given the time to grow old, and elk carry the weight and presence of true big country.

Where you will stay

Lodge

Step inside our Lodge and you’ll see why hunters call it their home away from home. Five private rooms and a three-bedroom guest house give you space to relax, swap stories, and recharge for the next day in the field. From hearty meals to fireside evenings, every detail is built around comfort, connection, and the kind of hospitality that makes the hunt more than just a trip — it makes it an experience. Beyond the rooms themselves, the lodge is designed for gathering. Mornings start with a hot breakfast before heading into the field, and evenings bring hunters together around the table to share stories from the day. The great room and fireplace invite late-night conversations, while wide porches and Ozark views offer a quiet place to unwind.
