DIY Alaska Moose and Caribou

We are hunting the Aleutian Chain for moose and caribou. The season is only open a short time and open to residents and non residents of Alaska. Non guided, but hunters will see some trophy class moose and caribou. Trips will be around 10 days and either out of Homer, Alaska or Coldbay/Sandpoint, Alaska. These hunts are available to both resident and non-resident hunters. At Boar Tide Big Game Transporters, our goal is to make your hunts comfortable, fun, and unforgettable. As big game transporters located in Ketchikan, Alaska, we provide transportation and lodging aboard our salmon shark boat. According to Alaska law, “a licensed transporter may provide transportation service with accommodations only at a permanent lodge, house, or cabin owned by the transporter or on a boat with permanent living quarters located on salt water.” As transporters, we are not allowed to assist with any activities of hunting. We are only there to provide transportation and lodging. We can feed you, house you, and transport you to where you want to go, but we can not guide or assist in your hunt in any way. According to Alaska law, “a licensed transporter may not accompany or remain in the field with a big game hunter who is a client of the transporter except as necessary to perform transportation services... A licensed transporter may not provide vehicles, fuel, camping, hunting equipment, or any hunting services such as skinning, caping, or cleaning of game, glassing, and packing in the field, including from a permanent structure or on a boat on salt water.“
