- A Nova Scotia based business, owned and operated by Shan and Sali. Shannon has spent most of his life in the back woods with over 35 years of hunting and angling experience. He is a licensed trapper and guide as well as a Marine Navigational Officer. Qualified as a medical first responder and volunteer to Ground Search and Rescue, Shan has spent countless hours in the back country exploring the wilderness and beauty Nova Scotia has to offer. Like Shan, Sali is a licensed guide for hunting and fishing in both Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. Certified in CPR and emergency water rescue.

About this hunt
We are unlike all other outfitters/guide services because we are urban based. Located in the Halifax Regional Municipality, which covers shy of 5500 square km and while we don’t hunt in the urban areas of course, there are hundreds of square km that are wooded and very remote from the city.
the hunt is 5 days Monday to Friday, but we book our guests 6 nights. We prefer they arrive on Sunday, hunt Monday to Friday and depart on the Saturday.
We specialize in hosting female hunters as we're one of the few that can provide a female guide. Please contact us if you have any questions, we will be happy to customize your adventure to fit your needs.

We are a short 20 min drive from the Halifax Stanfield International Airport. We house our guests in hotels rather than remote hunting camps
This hunt is on 1900 acres of private, gated land that borders onto 1000's of acres of government lands that are only accessible through this property. We have the only bear hunting rights to this property, and our baits are active from late July until November each year.

Unlike Traditional hunting packages offered in remote hunting lodges in secluded areas of Nova Scotia, our accommodations are uniquely different. We offer private fully furnished hotel rooms (yes we take care of the booking) in the heart of HRM. We also include meals in the hotel dining room and packed lunches for any excursions you wish to do, be it site seeing, or in the woods with us.
This is beautiful Hearthstone Lodge in downtown Dartmouth. Just 20 minutes from Halifax International Airport and within walking distance of parks, beaches and shopping. While not in the woods, why not take in Nova Scotia’s beauty of the Atlantic and take in some sites? The choice is up to you and the options are limitless. Typically our hunts are afternoon into the evening, leaving you plenty of time to explore in the mornings or after a successful hunt
