Über diese Jagd

This is a guide public land black bear hunt in Shasta-Trinity National Forest. Black Bear season opens in September with deer season and can be combined with a deer hunt. Combo hunt can be great time in field. 2 deer tags and 1 bear tag each year per hunter. Black Bear season closes in December or when that year limit has been reached. Shasta-Trinity National Forest is Black Bear country. The salmon spawn always brings them in. The smell of stinky remains on the shores always attracts bears. Wild apples and pears dot the landscape. And oak trees loaded with acorns are everywhere dropping that of year. In the summer the mountains have black berries. These bears eat good up in Northern California. I do suggest a guide while bear hunting. A guide can get you right into good bear country. It’s the safest way to go about it. A safe hunt is a successful hunt, especially dealing with bears.
