Eland hunting in Cameroon

Eland, Africa’s largest antelope. The only Eland species found in Cameroon is the Giant Eland more commonly known as a Lord Derby Eland and the biggest of all the Eland. They are more rufous in colour than the other Eland, have superior long horns and a very distinctive dewlap. This savannah hunt takes place in the northern part of the country. These Eland are tracked on foot and hunters can expect a long walk to catch up to their prey. Eland is classified as a species of least concern by the IUCN, no special export permits are required.
