Sams Pond Lodge

Nestled on scenic Sams Pond on the east coast of Newfoundland. Sams Pond Lodge is a log constructed Lodge with 1200 square feet of living space. Lodge accommodates 6 guest plus staff. Sams Pond offers outstanding Woodland Caribou hunting , great moose hunting and Black Bear. The lodge has 1 full washroom, 5 bedrooms as well as an outdoor washroom and full time chef on site at all times. Lodge is accessible by float plane or helicopter.

Dolland Pond Lodge

Situated on the south east corner of the very large lake of Dolland Pond. Dolland pond is a huge lake with many miles of shoreline that offers fantastic moose hunting. This world class facility consists of 3 main Buildings consisting of 2000 sq feet of living space combined, guest house that accommodates 6 guests, separate staff housing lodge as well as a large kitchen cookhouse adjacent to the guest lodge. Dolland Pond is very remote , located on the south coast of Newfoundland and accessible by float plane or helicopter. Fantastic Moose Hunting and Black Bear. Great location for boat hunting if individuals are not in great shape. The site has 3 full washrooms, 7 bedrooms as well as full time chef.

Grey Lake Lodge

Grey Lake is located very near the south coast of Newfoundland and adjacent to the Grey River. A very little lake and hidden in the one timber growth on Grey lake is the Lodge. The main Lodge is about 1000 square feet with separate staff living areas adjacent to the lodge. The lodge has 4 bedrooms, two full washrooms as well as a full time chef. This lodge hosts 4 guests per staff plus staff. There are many great vantage points that can be used for spotting animals around the lake. Fantastic Moose hunting and Black Bear. Lodge accessible by float plane or helicopter.

Char Lake Lodge

Char Lake on the south coast is a 1000 square foot lodge that can accommodate 4 guests plus staff. Char Lake offers great moose hunting as well as black bear. The lodge is situated on the north west corner of the fairly large lake that spans almost 2 miles. The lodge has indoor plumbing and propane fired hot water. The lodge has 4 bedrooms, two full washrooms as well as a full time chef. Lodge accessible by float plane or helicopter.

Harolds Pond Lodge

Effords oldest and one of our best hunting locations. Located on the south west coast of Newfoundland in the North West corner of Harolds Pond . Fantastic moose hunting and Black Bear exist here. This rustic but comfortable lodge approx 1000 sq feet hosts 4 guests plus staff. The lodge has 5 bedrooms, 1 full bathroom plus an outdoor one. The lodge offers indoor running water with propane fired hot water. The lodge also offers a full time chef on staff. This lodge is accessible by float plane or helicopter.

Cochran Pond Lodge

This lodge is located on the south west coast of Newfoundland and nestled on the south west corner of a fairly large lake Cochran Pond. The lodge is 960 square feet, consisting of 4 bedrooms , 1 full washroom, indoor plumbing with propane fired hot water. The lodge is located in pretty open land and walking here is a must but the lodge offers outstanding moose hunting as well as black bear. The lodge hosts up to 6 guests, yet we normally take 4 and does offer a full time chef. This lodge is accessible by float plane or helicopter.

Bobs Pond Lodge

Bobs Pond lodge is located on the south west coast of Newfoundland and perched high on a hill overlooking Bobs Pond. The moose hunting here is outstanding and much walking is required at this site. The lodge is approx 600 square feet, with 3 bedrooms, and separate living space for staff. The lodge has one full washroom indoor plumbing, with propane fired hot water. Accessible by float plane or helicopter.

Princess Lake Lodge

Located on the South west coast of Newfoundland and hidden in the south west corner of Princess Lake. This lodge has approximately 1200 square feet of living space . The lodge has 1 full washroom plus outdoor privy . The lodge has indoor plumbing with propane fired hot water. There are 5 bedrooms and the lodge accommodates 4 guests with groups of 6 if only within the same group. Great Moose hunting on a large lake and fantastic woodland caribou hunting as well as black bear. This lodge offers a full time chef. Lodge is accessible via float plane or helicopter.

Anreise

Guest are required to arrive in St. John’s (YYT), Deer Lake (YDF) or Gander (YQX) the day before your hunt is scheduled to start. Overnight in a hotel the day you arrive. Guests will be picked up the next morning and transported to float-plane base for early afternoon flight to camp or driven to the ground access lodge. There is a $100/person fee for St. John’s pickup. EHA will send you a trip itinerary for your hunt when you book a hunt. Driving guests hunting from Sept 13-Oct 12 will have to arrive at Peter Strides Pond which is about a 2 1/2 hour drive from Port Aux Basques. Driving guests hunting from Oct 13-Nov 10 will need to drive to Thorburn Lake which will take about six hours from Port aux Basques. A Newfoundland Road Map with marked locations will be sent to driving guests.
