Über diese Jagd
Uruguay is one if the few places in the world where you can still hunt wild perdiz. This bird is a native tinamou, is a great pilot flier when escaping from predators. However, these birds commonly move by foot and crunche down to hide from enemies; creating the ideal situation for dogs to pick-up their scent and enabling the hunter to shoot once it flushes up into the air. After the early morning fog has lifted you will be walking along easy terrain with a dog and dog handler. The stillness of the setting will be only disrupted by the movement of the dog and the sudden explosion of the amazing sound of the bird's wings as it flushes up into the air. All who have experienced shooting perdiz love the thrill, and also very much so seeing the dogs work.

As soon as you arrive our staff will meet you, ready to ensure this will be a trip to remember! At the Ranch you will be welcomed with crackling fireplaces and friendly smiles. Drinks and hors-d'oeuvres will be set out while you have time to settled into your rooms, looking forward to a delicious meal. Our Estancia has fantastic porches, balconies and is beautifully decorated. Fromall rooms, you can look out onto, soft rolling never ending green pastures, occasionally interrupted by a gaucho riding by or some cows or sheep grazing. Lunch can vary, some days you will have a typical asado out in the fields tasting Alberto´s renown T-bone steaks, other times you might stop for lunch at a local and colourful typical restaurant, or you will be going back for drinks on the porch at the estancia and a tasty lunch. Days will be full of amazing shoots, followed by relaxing evenings in front of the fireplace with family and friends.

Transfer to the Ranch may be by Charter or a Van. This will be coordinated ahead according to your preferences. If you fly by Charter you will have access to the VIP lounge.

An excellent bird hunting trip for the money!
We have hunted with them for over 20 years, very consistent dove and perdiz shooting, wonderful guides and dogs, very good dining and accommodations.
It is a long way to go for a hunt but the stay of 4 full days of hunting makes the trip worthwhile. Some of the hunts take an hour or so to get to but in the end the hunts are very good.
