- We are a small family outfit that specialize in ethical free range mountain hunting and pride ourselves on delivering quality hunts of a life time. Joseph has hunted extensively through out the South Island as well as 2 seasons working as a glacier guide on Fox Glacier and 2 seasons as a packer/assistant guide in BC Canada.
- We focus on the real hunters hunt, no high fences, no AATH/"Heli Hunting', just good honest hunting that provides not only a trophy but a real adventure and an experience of a life time.
- We have access to a number of large free range private properties as well a concession to guide on public land(wilderness hunts) on both he East and Western Sides of the Southern Alps so we can tailor a hunt to suit you. ALL of our hunts are genuine free range foot hunts, the way hunting should be.
- Quality Guides - We have the skills and knowledge to ensure you have a safe and successful mountain hunt. When we are not guiding we are hunting!
- Good equipment- We have quality gear to ensure your stay in the mountains is as comfortable as possible, we also have a selection of top quality European rifles for you to use on your hunt if you do not wish to travel with a firearm.
- We offer private land hunts with good comfortable accommodation right through to full back pack wilderness adventures. We can tailor the hunt around what you want.

We specialize in Tahr hunting and our guides will look over multiple bulls to find a mature age class bull. A bull grows in body size, horns and cape quality until they reach full maturity around 7-8 years. During the rut Tahr will be in larger group sizes of 15-50 animals, outside of the rut bulls will be alone or in smaller bachelor groups. Our private land hunts are based from cabins with power and running water and we have 4x4 access over the property making this a more comfortable hunt.All of our hunts are on foot and being in good physical shape will greatly increase your enjoyment and success during the hunt.This area has very good trophy potential and we take bulls in the 13"+ class every year with some bulls reaching the magic 14". The Tahr rut is May-June and this is the best time to hunt them, with beautiful skins being from mid-April through August. ALL our hunts are for free range WILD animals and we use helicopters for access ONLY. We run 100% success normally and our average bull from 2016 was 8 1/2 years old, 12.5 inches. Tahr hunts can be combined with Red Stag, Fallow and wild pigs/boar. This a large game rich propety we have access to for Tahr,Red Stag, Fallow deer and wild pigs/boar. There is also a small population of Chamois present here. Good 4wd tracks allow multiple access points to the area and we have 2 accommodation options, a more basic cabin/hut and a farm house style accommodation with power,showers etc.

Our Private areas offer comfortable farm house/cabin style accommodation, fully furnished with bathrooms ect.. These vary in size depending on area/species, from small basic 3 person hunting cabins to large 5 bedroom lodge. We suit the accommodation to the species,season and style of hunt.

Amazing hunt
If you want a real hunt, this is a world class trip. This hunt is for someone who wants true adventure and can handle the elements and mountain terrain. The scenery is spectacular and these guys work hard for you.
