Brown Bear - 2020, Alaskan Peninsula Alaska, United States

The low hunting pressure in the Sugarloaf exclusive guide use area gives hunters a great chance at harvesting potential record book brown bears that travel into and out of the Katmai Park, where hunting is prohibited. With the large concentrations of brown bears moving throughout the preserve, helps harbor some of the largest brown bears in the state. With a limited amount of permits and pressure, we focus on mature boars in the 9 foot class, with bears averaging over 9’10 for the last 5 years. With ten foot bears around, patience is the name of the game. We offer one 12 day hunt option, the 12 day hunt consists of 10 full days of hunting and the extra two days are used for travel in and out of the field. Wolf harvest in the spring is at no extra charge, as long as the hunting season is open. Option 1: May 9th – May 20th - Hunters should expect to fly into Anchorage on May 7th and to King Salmon on May 8th. Transportation into the field will occur on May 9th for the start of the season on May 10th. Transportation out of the field will be on May 20th. Lodging in the field One 10 x 10 sleep tent and a 10 x 10 or 8 x 8 cook tent will be used. Tents will be of the highest quality and include Alaska Tent and Tarp Arctic Ovens, Bombshelter tents, Cabela’s Outfitter tents or a combination. Meals will consist mostly of fresh cooked meals and then freeze dried meals towards hunts end. Modifications can be made upon request.

2019 Sea Duck Hunting Alaska, United States

Sea duck hunting on the Alaska Peninsula is an amazing experience.  Whether we are shooting from the beach that separates the Bering Sea from Herendeen Bay or from a layout boat in the protected waters of Nelson Lagoon, we are hunting the largest biomass of Pacific Eiders that can be found anywhere in Alaska!   Our unique location on this narrow spit of sand affords us extremely rare opportunities to hunt these largest of all Northern Hemisphere ducks over land as they fly from one mussel bed to another. The Common Pacific Eider is the most prolific species in this area. The Long tailed duck (Old Squaw) and Common Scooter are a couple of species that our water fowling guest also find desirable. Ptarmigan hunting also helps to round out the week. The Ptarmigan in this area of the Alaska Peninsula are Willow Ptarmigan and their numbers are very high. These birds are nearly in full winter colors during the month of November. Our staff of professional guides & our marketing partners literally cannot over emphasize safety in all aspects of our operations.  There are very few places in the world that can offer Pacific Common Eider (V-Nigra) hunts with a fair to moderate chance of successfully taking one or two fine specimen. In most locations that offer eider hunts, there is usually a great risk involved to the hunter or there just aren’t enough birds to sustain even the slightest bit of commercial pressure. The Pacific Eider hunts that we offer in Nelson Lagoon, Alaska are both safe and there are thousands of accessible birds. Hunters who wish to duck hunt should bring their own shotgun and steel shot. Hunters interested in duck hunting can purchase their Alaskan licenses online from the Alaska Fish and Game website

Spring Black Bear Hunt Alaska, United States

Black bears are an animal that you can hunt anywhere in North America. I have not experienced anywhere, even the interior, the unique hide of the bears we hunt. With the abundant food, berries and great genetics, we average 6 to 61/2 foot and occasionally see a 71/2 footer. You will book you airline ticket and hotel room to Cordova Alaska where you will be met. You and your 50bls of gear and weapon will be shuttled to your hotel room. Prior to arriving you should have purchased all your hunting licenses and locking tags on line at the ADF&G web site. Following day we will fly out to camp where there will be comfortable tents for sleeping and a kitchen tent for conversation and eating. The soothing sounds of the beach waves only a half mile away will lullaby you to sleep each time your head hits your pillow on your cot. From there your hunting begins. You and your guide will hike to where you will glass for your game and put your stock on. Your trophy will be cared for so your taxidermist needs only to just let it dry. Turning of the ears, nose lips, eyes and paws. Then fleshing and salt added. The meat will go to good use either you take it home or we will share with the local community and ourselves. Once we return to Cordova you are checked in at your hotel then we will get your hide and skull sealed at the ADF&G together (Alaska dept. of fish and game) it is now legal for you to fly home with your trophy. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE DAYS QUOTED ABOVE ARE THE NUMBER OF FULL DAYS YOU WILL SPEND HUNTING. A TRIP LISTED AS 5 DAYS WILL ACTUALLY BE 7 DAYS WITH 1 DAY TO FLY IN AND 1 DAY TO FLY OUT, 10 DAYS IS 12 DAYS AND 12 DAYS IS A 14 DAY TRIP 5% Sales Tax Will Be Calculated And Added In Your Final Bill

Alaska Duck 2x1 Hunting Alaska, United States

Our camp located near the famous areas of Pilot Point, and Cinder River offers waterfowl hunters great gunning for Canada geese and puddle ducks. Next to Izembek Lagoon this area holds the largest population of cackling, lesser, and Aleutian Canada geese as well as 1000’s of puddle ducks. We will fly out to the hunting grounds every morning and hunt many different locations along the beaches. This area is full of lakes and ponds as well as berry fields where the birds feed. Large spreads of decoys and layout blinds provide hunters with non-stop action. During this time the silver salmon and arctic char fishing is world class during this time also, an afternoon of fishing is a good way to top off this world class adventure. Alaska offers some of the best seaduck hunting there is to offer, and our hunts on Kodiak are unmatched. We only take 2 hunters at a time for this 5-day hunt, and we are the only guide in Alaska with a scull boat. We are able to collect up to 13 species of birds on this hunt. You will be personally guided by Phil Byrd who has a lifetime of waterfowl hunting experience. We normally have the opportunity to collect the following species that are in the best plumage: Species Harlequin Old Squaw Barrows Golden Eye Common Golden Eye White Wing Scooter Common Scooter Surf Scooter Common Merganser Red Breasted Merganser Pacific Common Eider Greater Scuap Buffle Head
