Our bear hunts are tightly organized and professionally managed. Each hunter is assigned an exclusive bait site, maintained and monitored throughout the season using proven baiting practices. Bait site selection is done collaboratively between the hunter and guide, and hunters are not restricted to a single bait site. This approach—combined with controlled hunter numbers—produces a high level of opportunity on mature black bears, including regular color phases such as cinnamon, blonde, chocolate, and black. Hunts take place in remote Manitoba wilderness with minimal hunting pressure. Access to stands is by boat, ATV, or truck, depending on location. Bait sites range from approximately 20 minutes to two hours from camp, offering varied terrain and hunting setups tailored to individual hunters. The operation is family-owned and personally managed, ensuring a hands-on approach before, during, and after the hunt. Guests stay in comfortable, well-maintained accommodations and are guided by individuals with extensive experience hunting black bear in this region. In addition to spring bear hunts, Hastings Bros. Outfitters offer guided winter wolf hunts and fishing opportunities for smallmouth bass, walleye, yellow perch and northern pike during the bear season.
