Family-owned and operated hunting haven nestled in the heart of South Alabama, spanning approximately 750 pristine acres. For generations, our family has lovingly managed this land since its acquisition in 1940. Our property boasts three cozy homes, a tranquil 7-acre pond, a multitude of strategically placed tree stands, and meticulously tended small food plots that are replanted each year. Amidst the landscape, you’ll discover rolling hills adorned with captivating woodlands, meandering creek beds, and a wealth of other natural wonders. In an exciting first for us, the upcoming 2024-25 season marks the inaugural year we’re extending a warm invitation to outside enthusiasts to join us in this well-guarded sanctuary, where white-tail trophy deer abound.

Semi-Guided Tour that includes transportation to and from stand for a morning and afternoon hunt. Limit of one buck and one doe. Additional buck or doe may be taken for $550. Buck must be larger than the first, 6 points or larger and antlers outside the ears. **We will field dress all harvests for you (or guide you through the process) **Quartering & Packing services are provided for a fee of $75 per harvest **We do have the equipment to quarter and if time permits - or your guide can assist in the quartering/packing process **Deer processing and shipping can be provided from $225-$275 depending on shipping location **All meals and lodging provided (Every paid day = 1 nights stay) **Bring up to 4 layers and Jan/Feb can get cold **We may let you borrow small equipment if needed like gloves, deer call, socks etc **Gun rentals available for $100/day (includes ammo) **Extra Overnight Stay = $150 **Bring a non-hunting guest for $250/day

Holmberg Hunting Hole Cabin

This quaint 3 BD / 1 BA is a converted home into a hunting cabin that can comfortably fit 6-8 hunters/hunting guides at a time. It has a full kitchen, shower, comfy beds and living area to catch the game after a long days hunt.

The Holmberg Hunting Hole is conveniently located 487 Strata Loop, Lapine, AL 36046. We are about a 2.5-3 hour drive from the panhandle. Transportation can be provided from the Montgomery Airport for an additional $50 fee and the Atlanta Airport for $200.

Big Game

Alabama’s big game includes white-tailed deer and eastern wild turkey, which can be hunted with an appropriate All Game hunting license (available both for residents and non-residents) without any lottery. Deer and turkey harvests must be recorded and reported through Alabama’s Game Check system. Alabama also offers alligator hunts by special permit – hunters are selected by lottery for limited alligator tags.

Feral hogs are not regulated as game animals – on private land they may be hunted year-round without bag limits (though a license is still required). When hunting on a Wildlife Management Area a hunting license, management area permit, and management area license are required.

Small Game

Small game (dove, squirrels, rabbits, quail, waterfowl, etc.) can be hunted with a Small Game hunting license (covers all legal species except deer and turkey).

Waterfowl hunters need a state waterfowl stamp (if age 16+) and Federal Duck Stamp, plus HIP registration.

Documents Required

Alabama hunting license.
A free Harvest Record and use of the Game Check system (to record any deer or turkey taken)
Alabama State Duck Stamp and Federal Duck Stamp plus HIP confirmation.
Hunter Education Certificate (or proof of a previous license)

Minimum Hunter Age

No minimum age to hunt under supervision. Hunters under 16 are not required to purchase a license but must be accompanied by a licensed adult. At age 16, a hunting license and completed hunter education course are required.
