Spießbock in Südafrika jagen

Gemsbuck or Oryx are a sought after plains game species of the semi-arid regions of South Africa. Their fawn grey colouring with black-and-white face masks make for their incredible beauty, especially when standing silhouetted against the red sand dunes of the Kalahari Desert. Both sexes have long spear-like horns with females actually having the longest horns. Hunting in the semi-arid Bushveld regions or open desert of South Africa can be extremely challenging as these animals have incredible eyesight and always seem to be alert, making for a tough stalk. Without a doubt this well adapted desert warrior is the iconic hunting species of the Kalahari Desert in the Northern Cape. Their beautiful horns, skin and delicious meat have long attracted hunters to the region. Classified as a species of least concern by the IUCN, no special hunting permits are required.
