Über diese Jagd
The South East Ibex is located on the South-East mountains of Spain, Granada and Almería regions. Its horns grow backwards and are curving sideways until the last tip when they close. This hunt can be taken either with a rifle or a bow, although in any case a moderated-good shape is required to succeed on this hunt. Hunting season goes from October 15th to April 31st. Best months are November, December. All our hunts are run in free range areas. Before the hunting, it will be possible to test the rifle and after that we will drive in the mountais with 4x4 vehicles. First of all we will try to spot the animals and once we locate the right animal we will start the stalking by foot. Our target are always adult males with at least 8 years old. Average shooting distances are approximatelly 200-250 meters, after we succeed we will tag the animal and make the measurement of the trophy to get final scoring. This hunt is a unique experience for those hunters who love mountain hunts where very high physical level is not requiered. Gastronomy, traditions and wine culture are part of this hunt, that will make an unforgettable experience for you in Spain. The hunting package includes 4 days trip (Arrival day + 2 hunting days + departure day) with all included price conditions: - 3 days with full board accomodation at 4* hotel - Transfer from/to Malaga/Madrid airport and all internal trasnports - Hunting license and insurance - Guidind 1x1 - First preparation of the trophies Not included on Price: - Taxidermy and shipping - Rifle rent - Tips (at your own discrection).

Victor delivered while airlines failed.
Victor is a great guide. He worked very hard for me, despite a surprising physical disability that severely limited my mobility. I say surprising, because I thought I was in quite good shape. Once the climbing began, I noticed that I had considerable trouble with my right leg and foot which very much limited many of Victor's options. In addition, the airlines lost my luggage so I was without proper foot wear or clothing. The leg is now a real problem. Ultimately, we were successful due to his persistence and knowledge of the animals. It seemed that he knew every move they would make. Victor showed me so much and explained everything about the flora and fauna of the region we were hunting. He made sure that we ate in great establishments. Spanish food can be wonderful. I also got to meet several of his friends and neighbours, which made meal time very enjoyable. I booked a few extra days to stay at his home town and tour the area. This was a real bonus. I would strongly recommend anyone contemplating hunting with Victor to allow him to show you around, as he is very knowledgeable and a a very proud Spaniard.
Any negatives I experienced were due to the frustration of lost luggage and my leg.
Outstanding Ibex Hunt
Victor has an outstanding knowledge of the game and the area he hunts and for which has exclusive use of. Also his use of “local scouts” for ibex prior to the hunt allows you to “ focus your hunt in a particular area which is especially important on a short hunt. Victor is also extremely professional and dependable in all aspects of the hunt from “start to finish, this is the guy you want to book a hunt with in Spain.
