Pigeon Shooting in Tucuman

The Area: The area is wild and beautiful, surrounded by natural green vegetation. Thousands of pigeons fly across the agricultural fields and feedlots. In recent years, the region has developed important farming activities, with crops such as sunflower, corn, and sorghum. These grain fields create the perfect environment to support large bird populations. The shooting fields are conveniently located just 20 to 30 minutes from the lodge. Each day, hunters typically shoot for about five hours, enjoying incredible and constant flocks of pigeons decoying over the carousel. In addition, pigeon shooting can be combined with outstanding dove shooting. In fact, the dove shooting in this area is considered even better than in many other parts of the country, allowing hunters to enjoy two of Argentina’s finest wing-shooting experiences in the same location. The Hunt: Early in the morning, after a full breakfast, we usually drive about 30 minutes to the shooting fields where the guides have already prepared the blinds, with the carousel set up and cases of shells ready. Most of the shooting takes place in feedlots, where birds fly continuously throughout the day and decoy perfectly over the carousel, offering an excellent English-style shooting experience. At midday, we take a break for lunch either in the field or back at the lodge, enjoying delicious barbecues and other traditional Argentine dishes accompanied by outstanding Argentine wines.
