- The vision of the Lodge & Resort began long ago after experiencing the thrill of opening day of pheasant hunting for many years, first as a family tradition and later as a more extended endeavor that included guiding groups of hunters. The orange vests and hats, the sturdy pants for walking through corn stalks and sorghum, the empty shotgun shells, the contest for the longest tail feathers, and the tall tales of amazing shots and unbelievable hits all contribute to the magical aura of pheasant season.

South Dakota is renowned as the pheasant hunting capital of the world. Certain counties within the state are especially fortunate to have the highest pheasant populations, largely dictated by the availability of natural habitat that attracts, produces and retains the most wild birds. Brule County is one of the state’s premier locales, with a density of more than 200 pheasants per square mile. This makes our land far superior to most South Dakota counties, in fact world famous for pheasant hatch and rearing capabilities. This ensures your group maximum pheasant numbers during your hunt, maximum shooting opportunities, and the excitement of witnessing hundreds of pheasants daily.

Lodge
In the bunkhouse, each semi-private bedroom boasts a rustic décor consistent with the rural character of South Dakota. The rooms are substantially sized with large windows so that guests can enjoy the spectacular view from all sides of the Lodge. Each bedroom has a well-outfitted, separate restroom.
The bunkhouse contains two common recreational areas – one is immediately accessible from the front entrance and connects to all other regions of the Lodge. The second area is positioned in the lower level with outside access near the deck. Both common rooms have a fully-stocked bar, game tables, lounging areas, and satellite television.
The dining room can accommodate 40 guests, and the furniture can be configured to facilitate two large groups or separated into divided units for multiple smaller groups. Patio doors along the east and south sides of the dining room lead out to a spacious deck for comfortable outdoor gatherings or just the enjoyment of nature.
