Hungary is a country where almost anyone can find the perfect hunt. Whether you are looking for the trophy of a lifetime or simply a representative animal and a memorable experience, Hungary is a great choice. You can hunt red deer, fallow deer, roe deer, mouflon, and wild boar as well as waterfowl, pheasant, partridge, and hares. Hungarians use a variety of hunting methods, but the most common are stalking and hunting from a stand or “high seat.” Organized driven hunts are also available, usually for wild boars or pheasants.
The first hunt of the year is the roebuck hunt, which starts in the middle of April. Many hunters prefer to hunt roebuck during the rutting season, which occurs at the end of July and the beginning of August. Whether you prefer to hunt early or late in the season, roebuck hunting is a rewarding and unique experience.
The main hunting season starts in September, when the red stag and mouflon seasons open. You can also hunt ducks during this time. In October, you can add fallow deer to the list. October also marks the opening of the small-game seasons. Driven hunts for wild boar are typically conducted from November to January. However, you can hunt wild boar all year round. Boar hunts can be especially productive during the summer, when most hunting is conducted on agricultural lands, but stalking and stand hunting can be good in the fall as well.
Hungary is a small country, but it contains a variety of habitats. There are forested mountains, sweeping plains, large rivers, and many lakes. Zsolt organized a perfect driven hunt, the local hunting society provided a high quality hospitality. All hunters participated in a very traditional Hungarian hunting ceremony with horn blower.

The support staff and services were wonderful including: drivers, guides, food, lodging and more were excellent. We never needed anything that was not seen to quickly. There were plenty of animals to choose from and the guides were very competent. The overall experience was more than I expected as this was my first hunt with an outfitter.
I didn’t have any complaints, HH Hunting has put together a wonderful experience.

Ursula the Outfitter went out of her way to make sure our hunt and accommodations were outstanding. My friend and I both brought are our wives with us and they were very comfortable and pleased with the accommodations. Ursula also provided a list of places we should go visit during the down time during the hunt. Driving and getting around was very nice and easy.
The game quality was great. Mouflons are free range animals in this area and are challenging hunt, but the guides worked hard to make sure we were successful. Both my friend and I were able to get very nice representative trophies and are very pleased with them. If you want a nice hunt I would highly recommend using Tierra Caza Hunting.
I have nothing to say that I didn't like. Ursula is very well organized and professional.
