Elephant hunting in Zambia
We found 1 hunt
Elephants need no introduction. African Elephants with their large ears compared to their Asian counterparts are randomly distributed in Zambia. Most populations occur in the south and eastern regions of the country.
Most Elephants are hunted in the Luangwa Valley, originally known as one of Africa’s best Elephant hunting areas. Unfortunately, poaching has taken its toll and Elephant numbers have been severely reduced. This double-edged sword means that due to reduced numbers, there is now ample food available for the remaining animals so trophy quality is expected to improve in the forthcoming years.
Unfortunately, Zambia has a history of open and closed for hunting seasons often leading to the country closing down numerous areas so make sure that the area you choose to hunt is open for the year. Also, check that your trophies may be imported into the country where you reside.
