Red deer hunt on top-notch Estate

Red stag hunting has always been considered one of the most prestigious hunts in Europe and still holds a fascination for many hunters from all over the world. The central period of red stag hunting is the rut in September and early October. During this time, the red stags emit low-pitched calls that are most intense in the evenings. The experienced hunting guides who accompany hunters can tell by the intensity of the call whether it is from a dominant stag over ten years old or a younger stag. The hunt is organised as a mixture of stalking and still hunting from high seats-towers, with the latter predominant. The large size of the areas within which the deer move (from 1200 to 4300 hectares), however, guarantees some very active hunting days and the guides can adapt the organisation according to the wishes and needs of the hunters. During the rut, every year red stags with medal-winning trophies, even gold, are hunted, reaching record scores of over 245 CIC points. An alternative period for a very challenging red stag hunt is the winter season in December and January, when hunting takes place mainly in places where they go searching for food as meadows or cultivated fields. This is a hunt with a predominance of stalking, which is very fascinating and challenging but also more difficult because the deer move over vast areas, largely covered by forests. In addition, red stags are extremely cautious and have exceptional senses. They can detect the slightest movement at a great distance.
