Turkey Hunt

- Bee Rock Outdoor Adventures, located in south central Missouri, offers exceptional trophy White-tailed Deer and Eastern Wild Turkey hunting. We are a fully guided outfitter that specializes in free range trophy deer and turkey hunting. With nearly 11,000 acres of intensely managed land under our ownership, we have transformed a large block of Ozark forest into a low-impact, free-range trophy deer and turkey hunting paradise, to include food plots, diverse wildlife habitat/cover, and water sources.
- Located in northeastern Texas County, Missouri, we have an outstanding deer and turkey population and often are among the top counties in the state for numbers of deer and turkey harvested. Although southern Missouri has long been known locally for producing huge trophy white-tailed deer, the secret is slowly getting out that this is a destination for hunters' seeking to harvest a giant buck.
- We offer a variety of trophy hunting packages and prices (see the "Hunts" page). Our professional guides are experienced hunters, are familiar with the property, and have a solid knowledge base of the wildlife feeding, bedding and travel patterns.
- With more than 50 food plots and wildlife ponds, and numerous well-placed blinds and ladder stands, we have made every effort to manage our property with the trophy deer hunter in mind. Well-placed game cameras aid us in our management and hunter placement by providing hundreds of photos of potential trophy bucks across the property. In addition to helping us with our management and hunting decisions, these photos also provide for exciting viewing for our hunters and guides. It's very likely that you will harvest a trophy that we have captured on one of our game cameras.
- Outstanding fishing opportunities also wait for you just a few miles from our headquarters. With the beautiful Current River and Montauk State Park only a short drive away there are myriad opportunities to fish for trophy trout. Montauk State Park offers year-round fishing opportunities and the upper reaches of the Current River are considered among the best wild trophy trout fishing in the state.
- We are located just minutes from lodging, restaurants and groceries, and have information for nearly every recreation opportunity imaginable, from hunting and fishing, to horseback riding, trail hiking, or bird watching. Please give us an opportunity to help you bag the trophy of a lifetime and make your hunting experience one you'll never forget.

Big Game
Missouri’s big game species include White-tailed deer, Wild turkey, and limited hunts for Black bear and Elk. There is no general “hunting license” that covers big game – instead, hunters purchase permits for each species and season.
Deer hunting permits are available over the counter for most seasons and areas. Residents and non-residents may buy Archery Deer permits and Firearms Deer permits (which are divided into “Any-Deer” and “Antlerless Deer” hunting permits). If targeting Antlerless deer, non-residents also need to buy one of the “Any-Deer” or “Managed deer” licenses.
Missouri’s archery deer permit allows taking two deer (only one antlered), while firearms deer permits generally allow one deer.
Some areas are restricting Deer harvest and are accessible only by drawing.
Turkey permits are available over-the-counter for both spring and fall seasons.
Black bear hunting in Missouri is newly established and is managed by a lottery draw available only for residents. Likewise, Elk hunting in Missouri is extremely limited and for residents only – a handful of elk permits are given out via lottery each year.
Small Game
Missouri requires a Small Game Hunting Permit for hunting small game (upland birds, small mammals, etc.) which can be purchased over-the-counter.
In addition, Missouri requires a Migratory Bird Hunting Permit for hunting migratory birds like Doves, Waterfowl, Snipe, and Woodcock and a Federal Duck Stamp for waterfowl hunters.
Furbearers (such as bobcat, fox, coyote) may be hunted with a Small Game permit, but to trap furbearers or sell pelts a separate Trapping Permit is required.
Documents Needed
- Small Game Hunting Permit
- Big Game Permits (Deer/Turkey)
- Migratory Bird Permit
- Federal Duck Stamp
- Conservation ID – allows multiple permits to be carried on a single plastic card
- Hunter Education Card
Minimum Hunter Age
Missouri’s minimum hunting age is 11 (hunters under 11 cannot be certified in hunter education). Youth ages 6 through 15 may purchase youth permits (at reduced prices) for deer and turkey but those aged 6–11 must hunt in the immediate presence of a licensed adult mentor. Youth hunters ages 12–15 must either be accompanied by a licensed adult or have completed hunter education to hunt alone.
