Red Stag Hunt

New Zealand is famous for our exceptional Red Stags. We hunt several large, privately managed Game Estates for Fair Chase Red Stag hunts. We also hunt forested valleys for those that enjoy bush stalking and hunting clearings within the forest. Our stag hunts are typically Spot & Stalk where we use 4×4’s and ATV’s to access the hunting area. Your guide will find and assess each stag through a spotting scope. On a hunt with us you will have the opportunity to look over many different typical and non-typical Red Stags. The guide will evaluate each stag and its size & score. Upgrades are available. Antlers have been a passion of Tony’s from an early age. Red Stag antlers are like fingerprints and no two sets are the same. There can be a great variety of styles within a specific size range. From long open heads (over 40 inches) with long clean points to heavy timbered multi-pointed heads. We work hard to guide our clients onto their preferred stag. The most exciting time to hunt Red Stag is mid-March through to Mid-April when the stags are in full Rut and are Roaring. Stag hunts are available from late February to the beginning of August.
