3-day Pheasant, Sharptail and Partridge

All of our bird hunts take place on private property Eastern Montana. Our upland hunts are one of the last great wild bird hunts left in the lower 48. Our sharptail grouse and hungarian partridge hunts start September 1st. Montana has a generous bag limit of 4 grouse and 8 partridge per a hunter. It is not uncommon for us to encounter 200 plus birds in a full day while walking our rolling hills and grainfield edges. The pheasant hunts begin mid October. These are 100% wild birds. Montana has a bag limit of 3 rooster pheasants. You will also have the opportunity to harvest grouse(4) and partridge(8) during our pheasant hunts as well. Many of our hunters bag all three species in the same day. Our pheasant hunts take place in brushy draws, field edges, creek bottoms and rolling hills smattered with buffalo berry. In November we are focused on our big game hunts and are not offering birds hunts at this time. We have exceptional combination upland and waterfowl opportunities in December. We hunt along the Yellowstone River for BIG geese, mallards and goldeneye. Most of our hunts take place in dry fields out of panels blinds. Our average high temperatures are in the 30s. You will be provided with heaters, a thermos for coffee and a thermos with soup every morning while waterfowl hunting. After the morning flight we will get a hot lunch and spend the rest of the day shooting rooster pheasant and hungarian partridge. For many upland enthusiasts there is no greater thrill than a rooster pheasant flushing out of the snow. Do to the birds gathering in large flocks, sharptail grouse opportunities are limited in December. Price includes, meals, lodging, guide, guide dogs. Personal dogs are encouraged. We do not mix bird hunting groups. You and your party will have an 8-bed cabin to yourselves with a bathroom, shower, heat, air conditioning, TV and high speed internet. We provide daily homecooked meals and treat you like guests ought to be treated.
