Forest Bird Hunting

The package includes 3 days hunt with 5 birds included. Extra birds / animals are payable as per the price list: Capercaillie male 800€ Capercaillie female 500€ Black grouse male 350€ Black grouse female 250€ Hazel grouse male or female 100€ Woodcock (Scolopax rusticola) 50€ Snow hare (Lepus Timidus) 200€ Brown hare (Lepus europaeus) 50€ Mallard or similar waterfowl 25€ Geese 50€ Raccoondog and fox Free of charge Every morning, after breakfast, guides will pick up hunters and head to forest where birds will be hunted walked up or with highly specialized dogs max. 2 hunters/dog. In the morning, during sunrise specially Black grouse gather to swamp areas for lekking and are more easily found. Lunch will be had in the forest and the hunting continues until sunset. The method of hunting will be very active and requires moderate condition. Sometimes when terrain allows, some small drives can be made. If the weather is cool and calm, in the morning it is also possible to hunt the birds from the nearby swamp areas with decoys as they gather to warm themselves in the first rays of sun. For hunting we recommend 12 gauge shotgun with good quality no. 2 - 4 cartridges and highly accurate rifle in caliber .222 - .308 using full metal jacket bullet.
