Traditional Hunt In Spain

Victor is a great guide. He worked very hard for me, despite a surprising physical disability that severely limited my mobility. I say surprising, because I thought I was in quite good shape. Once the climbing began, I noticed that I had considerable trouble with my right leg and foot which very much limited many of Victor's options. In addition, the airlines lost my luggage so I was without proper foot wear or clothing. The leg is now a real problem. Ultimately, we were successful due to his persistence and knowledge of the animals. It seemed that he knew every move they would make. Victor showed me so much and explained everything about the flora and fauna of the region we were hunting. He made sure that we ate in great establishments. Spanish food can be wonderful. I also got to meet several of his friends and neighbours, which made meal time very enjoyable. I booked a few extra days to stay at his home town and tour the area. This was a real bonus. I would strongly recommend anyone contemplating hunting with Victor to allow him to show you around, as he is very knowledgeable and a a very proud Spaniard.

Any negatives I experienced were due to the frustration of lost luggage and my leg.

Ignacio does an amazing job! I have hunted internationally (South Africa, New Zealand, Kyrgyzstan, Zimbabwe) as well as Alaska on multiple ocasions, and I can honestly say that this has been one of the best experiences. I traveled with my rifle, and Ignacio made sure everything was in order prior to my trip and had everything ready to go when I arrived. We hunted in great areas, and were able to see a lot of game. I was able to harvest great animals, and Ignacio was very committed to making sure I had the opportunity to take an impressive trophy. I would not hesitate to hunt with Ignacio again, and I am already planning my next hunting trip to Spain.

I truly had no complaints. If you are looking for an exceptional guide and experience look no further.

This was my first hunt with Ignacio, but certainly not my last. We hunted South eastern ibex and I was able to bag a good buck. the game and the landscape are stunning. for me at the age of 65, the trip was challenging, but that's what makes a good mountain hunt. Ignatio's rifle is perfect for mountain hunting and shoots very precisely. You can confidently rent it and save yourself the hassle of travelling with your own gun After nearly 100 hunting trips in foreign countries and several years living in Namibia I can say that Ignacio is one of the best and in all things most correct and polite professional hunters I have hunted with.

the hotel was quite noisy, but that is the Spanish way of life and is far outweighed by the excellent cuisine

The hunt and overall experience that I just completed with Ignacio of GestIberian, could not have been more perfect. I brought my wife on this trip and stayed in Madrid for a few days prior to hunting. Ignacio, who is not a city boy, drove right up to the front door of the hotel to pick us up at the exact time. This was a great start! From this point everything just went like clockwork. The hotel he put us in, up in the northern part of the country, where we would be hunting was absolutely beautiful. This was a big plus for my wife. Ignacio was on time ( or early) for every designated meeting/ hunt time for picking me up. He also, always had cold waters in the refrigerator in the car, or what we would call a cooler. The mountainous area that we hunted was beautiful. All the equipment was top shelf, optics, rifles etc.. We hunted hard and eventually succeeded in taking a big, old Iberian Red Stag. I would have called that a perfect ending but Ignacio said that if we take the tenderloins from the deer back to the hotel, the chef will prepare them for us...and he did !That really made it a perfect ending.!! I will definitely be hunting with Ignacio again...Soon ! Thank You again for everything Ignacio.

There was absolutely no negative part of this hunt / experience in Spain.
