Brown bear hunts are done on Baranof/Chichagof Islands which are located in Southeast Alaska. We use M/V Denali as our home base and then use skiffs to spot and stalk bears feeding along the bays and estuaries. You will see thirty to seventy bears per hunt and we target large Boars. Fishing and crabbing is included in this trip.

My hunts are boat-based on a fifty-six foot commercial fishing vessel as base camp and then spotting and stalking from small skiffs.

Excellent hunting experience
Amazing Adventure
Had a great week black bear hunting on POW. Jim, Max and Dan are some of the nicest, hardest working people I've ever met. I managed to shoot a large boar on the very first day of the trip. Saw lots of wildlife including sea otters, eagles and even a few humpback whales! Some amazing scenery to look at as well. But one of the best parts of the trip was just hanging out on the boat in the evenings and listening to all of the funny and interesting stories told by Jim and his guides. If you're looking for the real deal adventure in Southeast Alaska, give Jim Phillips a call.

The scenery, the uniqueness of boat hunt and the numbers and quality of game The quality of food prepared on cook stove was above average.Our guides were dedicated to our success and worked hard to the last moment.
Due to late arrival of one hunter we were unable to fish as planned as much as I anticipated. Fish and hunt a desiirable package and could be a more effective draw
