Southeastern Ibex Rut Hunt

Hunting free-range Southeastern Ibex during the rut in the Sierra Nevada and Almería is a fantastic time to be in the mountains. During November and December, the older billies become much more active as they search for females, giving us a better chance of finding mature trophy males that are often difficult to locate during the rest of the year. The terrain is wild and rugged, with steep rocky slopes, deep valleys and vast mountain ranges. We spend our days glassing from vantage points, looking for the right billy before planning our stalk. Every day is different, and much depends on the weather, the movement of the ibex and the opportunities we find. Our local guides know these mountains extremely well, and we tailor each hunt to the hunter's physical ability and expectations. It's a proper free-range mountain hunt, with plenty of glassing, some challenging stalks and the chance to take a beautiful old Spanish ibex in its natural environment.
