Black Bear Hunt

Black bear hunting in the mountains of Southwest Virginia is a challenge few hunters take on. The terrain works in the bear's favor — thick cover, steep ridges, and limited sight lines. Your guide knows the property and will put you in position. The rest is up to you. No Dogs, No Sows with Cubs, one bear per license year, at least one hundred pounds live weight or 75lbs dressed weight (all internal organs removed) - please see the VA DWR hunting guidelines and restrictions. We are a semi-guided hunting outfitter based in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Floyd County, Southwest Virginia. We offer 3-day backcountry hunts for Whitetail Deer, Wild Turkey, and Black Bear — all on private land with access to some of the most rugged and productive terrain in Virginia. Every hunt is led by Anthony, a lifelong hunter who has spent decades learning these mountains. He'll put you on the best game spots, cook your meals, and make sure you're focused on one thing: the hunt. Your base camp is an off-grid cabin — no cell service, no distractions.
