- I have been a professional hunter for all of my life and guiding since 1995. Hunts are the traditional spot and stalk methods. Which allow us to cater for all age and fitness levels. Over the years I have guided hunters from the US, Europe, Australia and New Zealand on all the South Pacific's trophies. I specialise in free range hunting (no high fences) and I believe I would be one of the longest standing free range hunting guides in the country.

- One word sums up David; integrity.
- In the three hunts I have been on with him he has compromised on nothing. His word is his bond and contract. My first hunt was not to his satisfaction, so he invited me back the second year to do it again, at no charge. The second year, he went way out of his way to accommodate me and work around the unusual and peculiar circumstances of that hunt. It was the most challenging and incredible hunt I have ever been on. What started out as a serendipitous adventure on my part, quickly turned into a life goal, one that David and I achieved together. After finally bagging my tahr, he was as excited and happy for me as I was for myself. He more than understood the importance of the achievement. In the mountains, it was as if we were two best friends out on a hunt together. I never felt like simply a client or a meal ticket for him. I have such a high regard for him as a person, hunter, and naturalist I don't know how to put it all into words.
- David took me places in the Southern Alps I never dreamed I would walk. He made me want to challenge myself, but never made me do anything or go anywhere I was not comfortable. I trusted him with my life and always felt safe. Besides leading me on fantastic and exciting stalks, his love of the wilderness and skill as a naturalist made him stop and point out unique and/or rare birds and plants. These were little extra jewels along the way. He is a hunter's hunter. A true hunter. He is Orion of the Heavens. I will always treasure my memories with him, in the mountains

This is a New Zealand summer tahr hunt. January through March 2026 or 27. We only have a limited no of these hunts available due to the popularity of them. Suitable for European mounting at this time of the year. This a great time to get a big bull tahr as they are down low on the good grasses etc.
Long summer days make for great hunting. We can also hunt chamois on this hunt....
We can take up to three hunters on this trip.
Hunters may take up to 2 Himalayan tahr.

Farm cottage, Base camp and tented camp
Our base camp is used along with drop camps which allows us to be more mobile. Hot water, shower etc available at our base camps.
We are basically out of civilization and in the mountains for the duration of the hunt.
