Deep Creek Outfitters has always ran our guiding business as a “quality over quantity” operation. When you book a hunt with Deep Creek Outfitters, you will likely be the only hunter in camp. This means that each client typically has multiple guides helping to fill the needs of each client.
We also pride ourselves on offering great camp accommodations for every hunt. Our camps typically consist of travel trailers, wall tents, or backcountry camps depending on the clients wants and needs.
When you book a hunt with Deep Creek Outfitters, you can be assured that we have scouted hard prior to the hunt to ensure the best chance of harvesting a quality animal. We spend many days in the field running trail cameras and glassing for big game.
The bottom line is Deep Creek Outfitters is operated by guys who love to spend time in the mountains. We guide because we enjoy doing it and want to see our clients succeed, not because we need to do it to make a living. The number one priority of all of our guides is to give each client the hunt of a lifetime.

*DRAW ONLY TAG* Utah offers a LE (limited-entry) muzzleloader mule deer hunt on all of the units we guide on in southern Utah (Pine Valley, Zion, Southwest Desert, Beaver). These hunts take place in early November after the general season rifle hunt ends. These hunts can be very difficult to find a giant buck because you are hunting a general season unit, however, every year some big bucks are killed. You generally have to look over a lot of small/average bucks before locating a giant. The bigger bucks typically start rutting in last 3-5 days of the hunt. We have killed three bucks over 200" on this hunt so the potential to kill a giant is definitely there. NEW IN 2024* - Utah no longer allows magnified scopes on muzzleloaders. All muzzleloaders must have open-sights, 1x scope, or a red dot scope.

Pine Valley Hunting Camp

Camp accommodations can vary depending on the clients desire and needs. On hunts close to roads we typically have travel trailers and/or wall-tents and use trucks/ATV’s. Although these are “road hunts” we recommend being in good shape because a lot of hiking can be needed to avoid other hunters. We also try to utilize the horses to access remote areas whenever it is feasible. When hunting the backcountry, we use horse/mules/llamas to pack-in lightweight tents or wall tents. The backcountry hunts require a lot of hiking in steep terrain, so we recommend being in good physical condition to increase your odds of being successful.
