I have hunted with them about 8 times. I have never had a hunt that i did not have an opportunity. sometimes the sheep and goat hunting can be tough, but they will put you on animals if you do your part.
the callenge and the capable people they put with you.
when the hunts are over.

4 Hunts - 4 Trophies!
I hunted 4 times with Chet in 4 years. Every year was successful and I have 4 memories of a lifetime. 2 made Top 10 SCI and one of them All-time Boone and Crockett. The hunts are hard but he game is there. If you put in the work, effort, and preparation you can be assured a great experience and successful hunt. You feel important to the outfitter and won't be let down. I never went hungry and the outfitter was constantly in touch with the hunters and guides out in the field. He worked hard toward safety and success on every hunt. When necessary they brought in the plane to make a change in location when weather or hunting dictated a change.
Costs in Alaska are very expensive, so it is with hunting and the necessity of airplanes for travel This makes it very pricey for the average hunter like myself. Weather during hunting season can be brutal. Both are out of control of the outfitters/guides. I was advised of proper gear ahead of time. Not the outfitters fault of course but makes it hard to feel like a good value for your dollars.

Alaska hunting
Remote backpack hunting. Hunt can be hard, but extremely rewarding...

Chet Benson and his guides put out extreme effort toward your successful hunt.
The area they hunt appears to be well managed and holds good numbers of quality trophies. These folks are more than happy to hunt as hard as you are capable. If you are wanting to hunt sheep, be sure you are physically and mentally capable of this type of hunt. They do a good job of finding your best abilities.
The odor of my clothes when i returned.... I cant think of any one thing i did not like on my extreme sheep hunt. I expected to live on dried food and be wet most of the time from either precipitation or perspiration. My advice for a prospective hunter is know what to expect for the species you wish to hunt.
Hunting in Alaska is a challenge and physically demanding. You have to expect the unexpected. They do an excellent job trying to anticipate the unexpected and ensure you have an opportunity to get your animals.
The guides are well verse in the animals of Alaska and are residents. Not someone from the 'lower 48' looking for work.
Having better sleeping quarters would be nice but not real practical if you are headed to the back country. A larger group tent for eating and drying out would be nice along with a chair or two.
Excellent hunting experience
Great PH, facilities and game
The rain
Pursuit to the top
Hard working and never give up guide. Breathtaking scenery. Incredible pursuit to very top of mountain to hunt Dahl sheep.
Inexperienced packer.
They did everything possible to give me the opportunity to harvest an animal.
Friendly, considerate, and accomodating
World Class Guide
Good knowledge, communication, planning and preparation
Pace at times was challenging

Great hunting experience for Kodiak Bears
Once you take the the float plane out of Kodiak you are in the wilderness and the scenery is amazing. We saw bears every day but getting close to a mature bear is challenging. However on the seventh day we are able to take a great bear. If you really want a big bear you need to plan to stay all ten days.
The only thing not to like is the rain. We only saw the sun two of the nine days I was on Kodiak.
Moose - Caribou - Black Bear
Chet works hard...gives you everything he has.
Alaska weather; rain.. I felt the area has been over hunted.
Adventure of a life time, organized by a true professional who understand how to make the hunt a great experience
they did what they said they would do and worked hard to provide a great hunt.
The landscape was absolutely beautiful , the expirience was thrilling and the outfitter extremely knowledgeable and friendly.
The entire expirience from start to finish was memorable and exiting .
Very spartan conditions for the money.
True wilderness hunt!
Great place to experience what hunting is, challenging yourself and the feeling of accomplishment at the end of a tough hunt,
All good!

Caribou Huht
Chet worked hard to get us on animals. Be in good physical shape as he hunts hard. For certain a memorable and rewarding hunt.
Experienced Outfitter
Chet and his guides took every precaution to keep us safe, happy, and succesful on the hunt. They worked extremely hard spotting animals, packing meat, and making us laugh daily. We took two great Bull Moose on our hunt.
The rain. Ha. The Alaska weather is no joke, cold and rainy. I could’ve been better prepared with my gear list. But it all worked out fine.
Great experience with a great guide.
Food choice & quality was great for camping in the mountains. Knowledge of guide on Alaskan animals.
Lack of animals.
Late September hunt.
Unfortunately got Covid days before the hunt and Chet and his team was kind enough to postpone the hunt by 10 days to allow me to recover before heading out. These guys will do whatever they can to get you in front of your animal. Sam, my guide was great. hard working, funny and got me within 150 yards of my moose. These animals are hard to come by these days and this outfit can still pull it off. Highly recommended them.
It’s hard to pack for this time of year. It was hot and it was snowing. Good luck!
