Spring Hunts: May 1-10, 11-20, 22-31 (Odd Years; e.g: 2019, 2021, etc.)!! May marks the beginning of mating season for Bears, and this is an excellent time of year to hunt Grizzlies. Boars will be out cruising for sows and can be found walking river bottoms or ridge lines at any time during the day or night. 24 hour daylight this time of year guarantees a unique hunting experience! This hunt is in the Brooks Range, well north of the Arctic Circle, where the harsh winter climate makes these bears well known for their superior hide quality. An Arctic Grizzly harvested in the Spring season has thick, long fur that is incomparable with bears in any other climate. Camps are flown in using our company owned light aircraft on tundra tires or skis, and are located on high ridges or in locations with good vantage points, and hunting styles include backpacking, and stationary spot and stalk. Success rate on this hunt is 80% with sizes ranging from 6.5-8.5 ft square.

Spike Camp
Hunt options include float hunts, fixed spike camp style hunts, and backpack hunts. All spike camp accommodations are provided and consist of top quality, comfortable tents, cots, rafts and equipment. We access our vast hunting area and spike camps with company owned light aircraft, which are available for our exclusive use, ensuring our customers comfort, safety, and timely access into and out of the field.

Excellent hunting experience
Luke and his crew are an amazing group of people, who make it their mission to ensure you have the hunt of a lifetime. Everything about his operation is high quality and professional. From the warm hospitality of his base lodge to the comfortable, well stocked field accommodations, his passion as an outdoorsman and desire to provide a successful hunt are always present. Although I was not the only hunter they had in the field during my time with them, they made sure I felt like I was. They have several means of company owned transport to ensure they can put you in the best location for success. All the guides I met and hunted with are highly professional who were willing to give you every effort to ensure the best possible chance of success. I would highly recommend Luke and his team to anyone looking for a high quality Brooks Range adventure.
I have no negative comments about my experience with Tyrell's Trails.
He provided with a fear chance to get the trophy on the specific conditions I asked for.
He advised my individual guide the requirements I wanted to archived on the hunt.

Hunt of a Lifetime
They were honest people. I got a Grizzly bear on a trophy fee. I got a shot at 3 wolf's .my bad I missed. I got a really nice Carabou. The guide Luke bros Wes was the best guide I ever hunted with. He got me on a bear and a Caribou. Even after I sprain my knee. He was a real professional. He pushed me when we had to never left me behind and hunted with in my limitations. I can't say enough good things about him. If I am ever lucky enough to ever hunt with Luke and Wes again I would count it as a blessing.Luke even move me. After I got my bear to where the Caribou were. As they were 2 weeks late in there annual migration.
When I had to go home.because the hunt was over.
