- "When hunting with this outfitter you will have exclusive use of the hunting area during your stay there. All their Limpopo concessions are exclusive to them and many years of wildlife management have gone into creating a hunting destination that will hopefully meet and exceed your expectations of hunting in Africa! When hunting their areas the average shot with a rifle on Plains Game would be roughly 100 yards and at the top end about 250 yards. If you are comfortable taking longer shots, that is OK as well, but please ensure you practice shooting from sticks and standing up, as this is the common scenario most of the time. If Bow Hunting, most of their blinds are set up for a 20-35 yards shot."
- "For the Rifle hunter we recommend bringing a weapon you are comfortable with and know intimately. If you do not want to go through the hassle of bringing your own guns over we are more than happy to allow you use of our weapons in camp. Bow Hunting can be done out of various hides on the concessions or on foot by means of walking and stalking. Most shots will be between 20-30 yards, as our bow hides are all strategically placed to ensure the highest possible success rate. Any bow set up that you use for big game hunting back home, for example deer, is sufficient for our plains game . Fixed blade broadheads are recommended but a well-placed mechanical broadhead is also deadly. Additionally for plains game we recommend an arrow of at least 400 grains and up and for dangerous game an arrow of at least 750 grains is recommended with a well constructed two blade cut on contact broadhead."

Good day BYH community, After a fantastic 2022 season on the reserve we are excited to say we can show off the fantastic results from our hunts this year! We visited with 3 different clients from the US this year and all three clients were successful in hunting both a bull and a cow each. This was more or less in line with what we had in mind for our quota in 2022. We work on a community based quota and all meat goes to the community that borders the reserve. This hunting is as fair chase as it comes and the fitness levels required are high. It is a world class area for proper old-school Buffalo hunting. The hunt will take place on a 44,500-acre reserve with rolling hills, flat land areas and big mountains. We will be hunting old Dugga boys and Buff cows the proper way, on foot and with no size limit. The expected size on the bulls is 34" to 40" inches and for the cows we will focus primarily on age. The hunting will be hard and honest and any buffalo hunted here will have been hard earned. They are truly a noble adversary and its for this reason we choose to conduct our hunts to the highest standard. The Buffalo bulls on this reserve carry the original Addo Buffalo gene (with a small introduction of Kruger genetics many years ago) and have not been interfered with since their introduction and are thus not as wide as some of the other Buffalo we may hunt on our concessions. Thus that is the reason that the pricing for this hunt is a bit lower. The days are long with them consisting mainly of with checking roads, checking waterholes for likely tracks and of course, hunting. Please note in 2021 the reserve hunting season ended 1 October and in 2022 it was 1 September. We will push for a later close to the season on the reserve this year however plan for the hunt to do it May through to the end of August to be safe.

- Unfortunately with the amount of predators, diseases and the ease of infection any game that is wounded, has to be paid in full according to the price list or package. But rest assured, we have some amazing trackers and great PH's that will try their utmost to find any wounded game even after you have left. The most common species to be wounded are Blue Wildebeest and Gemsbok. Shot placement is key, if you listen to your PH, and hit them in the correct spot, they won’t run far.

Unbelievably and unforgettably
Absolutely professional Michael’s team. His own PH level is off the scale. Trophies are just unreal. If you are looking for a real Africa and a real honest hunting, then you are here The movement of a herd of buffaloes somewhere nearby in the bush, an eye-to-eye look at a distance of less than 20 meters, PH luring the buffalo even closer and an arrow flying to an incredible trophy… This is something I’ll never forget. Thank you guys, thank you Michael, thank you Africa!

Instantly understand their client's needs and preferences and taylor the safari accordingly. Enthusiastic, excellent tracking, lodging, skinning, easy-going and hard-working. I highly recommend.

Extremely knowledgable PHs and excellent trackers. Hosting and accommodation is second to none. I have hunted with the guys on more than one occasion and usually have another hunt planned at all times !
