It is not my style to comment negatively as everybody needs a second chance. However, as I still see that the Arkadiy Dorofev is bargaining these hunts, I think it should be important to double check this negative review with other hunters / customers after me, how their experience was. Foremost important, is that Arkadiy is not a hunter but a local organiser in Yakutia of outdoor activities (mainly fishing). As possibly, he see the € or $ in the hunting industry, he launched back in 2017 his “hunting’ agency in Yakutsk. The main issue is not the paperwork for gun importation which he failed to deliver, but his hunting experience an sich. Arkadiy guided me himself on top of the mountains as that was his agreement with his local partner (who actually had the hunting licences issued on his name) drove us to the foot of the mountains with his truck and camped there only for the logistics. So we hiked for more than 7 days back and up that same mountain, no fly camps, no change of territory as his agreement with his local outfitter was not to move unless I would have paid extra € direct to the local outfitter.. Arkadiy however never hunted and hiked after sheep. He did not how to walk properly on a slope and did not know a clue on how a sheephunts works. As we were logistically blocked with the truck waiting for us each evening in the same valley there was no possibility to hike with a backpack, tent, etc. for more than 12 h in a day (end September). Game was present in these mountain ranges. But as logistically, we were stucked with Arkadiy as he did not know these mountains and without a GPS, the risk was too high to get blocked overnight in an area end of September when snow was already fallen and without tent or food for a fly camp. I will not say I am an expert mountain hunter but hunted prior on that occasion for Dagestan Tur and Mid Asian Ibex and Hume Argali. I am a member of the board of Rowland Ward, so I have the opportunity to talk to some more knowledgeable people/ mountain hunters and they all share the idea to write a negative review I think it would be convenient to check out what the experience was of other of your customers with Arkadiy. In the event that no other customer of BYH would have booked a hunt with that outfitter, it would be more convenient to write a negative review in order to inform others not to be lured in on a first view cheap snowsheep mountain hunt and to sack that hunting outfitter from the BYH website.
