- Having been in the industry since 1990, Louis shares the vision of BookYourHunt and it's Director James Reed, to ensure the continued survival of African game species through sound wildlife management advice and ethical utilization of natural resources. He is a pro-utilization conservationist and in 2016 was a joint recipient of a Rhino Conservation Award for his contribution to the development of the field and anti-poaching ranger curriculum for South Africa.
- With this vision he reinvented his company to become an Outfitter that encompasses, education and conservation while offering quality, professional safari experiences to hunters that also share the same principals. Louis with his organization is active in Canine Anti-poaching services specializing in Rhino protection.
- Our business model is based upon the guiding principles as described in “The Conservation Game: Saving Africa’s Biodiversity. By Gerhard R. Damm”.
- Louis has in excess of 25 years of experience in the field and will ensure a memorable African safari and remain committed to community incentive programs that train and educate the local communities through.

The 10 modules that will be presented on a Wildlife Ranch in Africa - Africa and the basic ecological principles. - African wildlife and its behaviour. - Animal Track identifi cation and how to track a quarry. - African Bushcraft and basic survival skills. - Determining direction and navigating without gadgets. - African dangerous game behaviour. - Handle and maintain a manual action rifle .223 / .308 / .375 / .458 and 12g shotgun. - Handle and maintain a compound bow and arrow for hunting purposes. - Maintain hunting ethics and traditions in the hunting environment. - Hunting Safari on medium-size antelope with your choice of rifle or bow – Rifles and Bows are provided (accredited firearm trainer) – Welcome to bring your own. Practicals: - Participate in a hunter ‘skills trail’, designed with wildlife 3D butts, aimed at making hunters ‘think’ about the safety of each shot, shoot/don’t shoot scenarios, the laws/ethics of the shot and hunting strategies to consider. - Participate in a live-fire component aimed at making sure each hunter knows the basics of safe rifle handling and shooting skills, muzzle control, safety mechanisms, loading, aiming at and hitting a target. - Hunt an Impala Ram (Upgrades and additional species available as per pricelist). Excursions: - Fishing African Tilapia/Bream; Game drives and Kruger National Park excursion. - Sleep under the Wild African Skies with Dinner around the African campfire.
