Black faced impala hunting in South Africa {{ totalToursString }}
Black-faced Impala has been introduced to a few game ranchers in South Africa that now make these animals available for hunting.
There are 5 recognised subspecies of Impala of which one is the Black-faced Impala. Previously, only the Southern (Common) Impala occurred in South Africa and is now found virtually throughout the country except the real dry western regions. Black-faced Impalas have been introduced to a limited number of game farms which now have trophy animals available for hunting. These animals are easily identifiable by a very distinctive black blaze that runs from the forehead down to the muzzle.
They are classified as a species of least concern by the IUCN but the American Fish and Wildlife Services have banned the importation of these trophies from Namibia so if you desperately need a Black-faced Impala in your collection, why not hunt one in South Africa?
